Have you ventured into the Unknown this year?
Over the Garden Wall thread. I watch this every Halloween and it remains great.

its amazing how great Carto netwo4rk is in making mini series.
instead of making shows to last 7 seasons and mostly composed by boring unfunny episodes trying to be funny, they should focus on mini series with big quality.
literally mini series with begnning mid and end, no ''lets greenlight more 5 seasons making impossible for writers to keep quality''
I usually watch it on thanksgibbons.
the problem is they should know from the beginning they're getting so many seasons, so they can plan it out
instead of drip-feeding them MAYBE you'll get another season.. causing pacing to be all over the place.
I've rewatched it every year since it came out, so this year I'm watching the composer's cut instead
I know only of the original mini, how many more were there?
Personally it's just "okay". I like the style more than the characters or the narrative.
10 episodes
my only regret watching this show now is the fact i did not gave atention to this back when first released in 2014, now i hyped for a show nobody cares to talk anymore beyond mentioning in halloween nights o other crtoon threads
Finally getting it to it now
Marathoned most of it a few weeks ago, it holds up. Hope to watch it again sometime in Nov.
I'm the Highway Man.
Was looking for this thread. Are you guys curled up on the couch watching this tonight cause you can't go out to parties too?
Is it anything other than just 'all music, no dialog'? I have the dvd and I've never clicked on it
I haven't been to a Halloween party since high school. That be said, I've enjoyed Halloween more this year than I have in ages, and I hope it really motivates me to seek out my old friends so I have people I can celebrate with next year.
Yes, it's pretty interesting. You can tell it's not 100% the backing track, but it includes a lot of the incidental music and the credits have snippets of early demos. Also you notice certain things about the visuals more when you're not paying attention to the dialogue.
Huh, sounds interesting. Maybe I'll play it after I get through the voiced version.
Also idk if it's just my friend's group, but I've probably been to more Halloween parties in my adult life than I have any other kind of get-together.
Anyone have a link to the new comic?
There should be a stream of it every year. Spooktober stream did not included it .
It was storytimed recently, look in the archive
If Cartoon Network had any sense they'd still be airing it every year
Yes it did moron, it was last night and was well-advertised in the spooktober thread.
sorry but I don't hang around that waifufag general
>Have you ventured into the Unknown this year?
yes, like every year I shoot myself in the head tonight at such an angle as to render me unconscious, but not kill me.
one of these days baby... I'm goin to Pottsfield!
I was listening to the full soundtrack and this bitch was singing over her missing live and her dad was ready to sell the school, but that nigga was only gone for 3 days.
The song never got through the entire alphabet in the show but it also had numbers at the end
>1 is the number of men I have loved
>2 is the times I'll say it's you, it's you
>3 is the number of days you've been gone but it feels like 4 times 2
Also enjoyed the full song during their fall down the hill and into the water.
Do you expect me to monitor every thread? i actually have a life user, i just came around tonight to check the spooky threads of the Halloween themed shows i like.
I still think OTGW it ought to had stream today close to prime time. Im rewatching it anyway. Beatrice best girl!!
Snowstorm yesterday knocked out my internet, luckily I had OtGW on dvd. The aesthetic really is unmatched in modern cartoons. It has that ironic Adventure Time animation renaissance setup but with so much 1800s new england American culture layered over it, nothing else like it.
Relax, Clarence. It gets better.
This
Every rewatch I understand it a little better, but what's up with the turtles? It's implied that eating one turned the dog into an oily monster in the first episode, but how are they connected to the trees? Auntie whispers eats them too, are they just a symbol of red herrings or some shit?
The beast also had the eyes the possesed dog had in the begining
I guess they serve the purpose of vaguely connecting the Beast to something tangible so that he’s not just strictly psychological
is this comics necessary to understand the plot?
i find really annoying when they basic force you to read comics to understand the story
That train song was a jam
I watch this show during thanksgiving
Just finished my annual watch. It may be my favorite show of all time.
No, they are stand alone.
Honestly I was kind of confused on how Greg knew the storm clouds in the plant one if it wasn't winter yet, but they are more what if stories that could have been episodes if time constraints didnt exist.
I watched it once and thought it was underwhelming. I think I've watched too many psychological anime to find it impressive, and I am legitimately not trying to be pretentious or controversial by saying that.
What if they made many Irish babies together?
