The whole show was too violent and slap-sticky and ridiculous in my opinion. Too much like Family Guy, in other words. I think it'd benefit from being a little more grounded with less extreme plots. I mean destroying the whole Gotham greatly limits your options. The scope would be smaller, and the humour a little more refined, I wouldn't rely this much on violence.

That one episode in The Pit was the last half decent episode of the season. They crammed way too many ideas into a single episode: Gotham Kangaroo Court, Jim Gordon beating his alcoholism, and The Pit. After that it became bullshit, Ivy and Harley have feelings for each other. That was also the last episode Bane did anything, and his absence was felt.
