Yeah, sure, whatever, but can you tell me why does it sound so easy to breathe on tv?
Imagine hating Jack Stauber
how old is claire supposed to be? she looks like a child, but the way her family talks to her sounds almost like she is older.
this was shit
but id loke to believe jack had some deeper meaning here
>the grampa was representing boomers who unwittingly destroyed their health and are obsessed with vicariously living through tv ("why is it so easy to breathe" has a new meaning in the context of the pandemic)
>the dad is a millenial who is obsessed with his own shortcomings and lookmaxxing, his entire life is based on how he got rejected (millenials have an incel problem)
>the mom is gen x who are all insane weirdos desperately trying to cling to the past when things were better but can't really acknowledge their fault and why things are bad today
>opal is a zoomer who has gone into complete denial mode and has entered her own entirely corporately constructed reality based on advertising
She is a child, that's the fucked up thing about her situation. No one in that household recognizes that Claire is just a kid, they're too focused on themselves and their own problems to realize how badly they're damaging the youngest member of the family.
The fuck was his problem?
you're overinterpretating
I like jack stauber but I kind of wish he went back to his album-ish sounding stuff instead of cartoony song after cartoony song. HiLo and Pop Food were both great but his "micropop" album was disappointing.

Mr. Plinkett, I told you. No more pizza rolls!
I had never heard of him so I went back to check out his other stuff, this is definitely the apex of his work. His other stuff was interesting but didn't hit the mark enough and just felt kind of forced artsy to me.
I really enjoy Claire's design, creepy yet adorable
i do think this short skirts on being a bit heavy-handed with its messages. (yeah, we get it, the grandpa smokes). it doesnt ruin my personal enjoyment of it but i sure as fuck would be embarrassed trying to get someone to watch it as they’d probably assume i was a 3deep5u asshat
HA HA IMAGINE BEING SURROUNDED BY MISERABLE PEOPLE DRAGGING YOU DOWN WITH THEM HA HA WOULDNT IT BE FUNNY TO GET DRAGGED DOWN WITH NO ESCAPE HA HA
He's still growing, why you gotta be so negative?
Fakedeep shit. The way you guys were talking about it I expected to cry at the end or something. Oh no she lives with a self obsessed dad and a mom who's fucked up all the time.
you might be projecting user
bump
bait
heheh short skirts
loved it, but then again it's hard for Jack not to make something I love.
Why is it so easy to breathe on TV?
they turned him down
now he lives his nightmare
I never liked any of Stauber's stuff all that much, just thought it was ok, but I loved this shit, the music and harmony here is more on point than his actual album, and the visuals are god tier, can't stop watching it
same, Stauber is really hit and miss for me. But Opal was short, simple and effective in everything it did, the Halloween release was a nice icing on the cake too. I honestly think it could be regarded as an animation classic, definitely up there with some of the best of Aardman's work
Because TV's a fantasy and everything seems easy there.
Also that song was fucking killer.
Tell me, why does it sound so easy to sneed on Zig Forums.
I agree, to me it feels like he is growing, learning what works, this one made me want to keep an eye on him for sure
So, what the fuck is this all about?
>Look who decided to come out of her cave!
>hand pressing the numbers 9, 1, and 1 on the phone
>mother screaming her eyes out
>vague Claire shape crumpling in on itself
Well gee, I sure do wonder.
My best guess is that she was the one who fucked up the father's face while she was completely wasted. You can see an arm take a swing at the phone, and a person with brown hair before seeing her face. Whether this implies she did it or she's just a witness it is unknown.
dad tried to off himself via shotgun to face
mom liked it
resent Claire for calling 911
She just beat Claire I think, I think none of the adults interact with each other at all which is part of the "blindness" theme.
