Which one should be the Green Lantern of the Justice League?

That question is flawed because no one Lantern should be shackled to Earth. The system they have right now is fine, which is rotating shifts guarding Earth, which in turn enables all the GL's to do fun space adventures and occasionally rest at home

As if you had to ask, of course we'd also need the best and dare I say the only worthwhile version of the league

As a kid, the only time I saw Green Lantern was on this Justice League show. For the longest time, I was fooled into thinking that GL was originally a black man. I didn't find out that John Stewart was a diversity retcon until much later in life.

You don't know what a retcon is

I think the role of Green Lantern should be passed down like a torch. If any of the candidates were to die, their ring could find a suitable replacement. My thought process is Hal>Guy>Kyle. I would like to see John have a place in there too, but he’s just not all that interesting. People will deny it but it’s the truth. He has no flaws or a personality. It’s almost as if the writers were afraid to have a relatable/believable black man or something.

John

the only people that like Hal are super enfranchised fans, mostly the staff at DC itself.

John is the more competent and level-headed guy, so I'd trust him more.
But having Hal there is more hilarious.

Xanshi blew up cause of John

John is the true green lantern not this white boy

No, it’s because Hal is more attractive.

He can be a White Lantern

They both are, and they swap out between space and Earth. The running joke is that in every scene one member of the Justice League is very confused by this.

Hal, because he is my son

Having John means they don't need to shoehorn Cyborg in for diversity. If we need a token black man, I'd much rather have John than Cyborg.

Rotating. Depends on who is off on missions and who is around earth.

Guy

John but only because Hal us not allowed within 0.5AU of any human minor.

It's 2020, white males aren't allowed in Hollywood.

Sonic the Hedgehog has a white guy

It really is either Guy or Kyle. Hal and John are the least interesting and always will be. Kyle did more in a single episode of Superman TAS to endear me to him than John did in how many seasons of JL/JLU? And Guy is self explanatory.

Your ma likes her "diversity retcons" too. The more the merrier.

Guy.

Kyle

You've clearly never read Green Lantern Mosaic

It's not that John has no personality, it's that he has a very rigidly-defined one. He's former US military, so he's basically a grunt with a power ring. It's a personality we've seen before, millions of times.

Being black is, for him, used in place of an identity. It's "enough" for the black green lantern to just be an army guy. He never needs to stray out of that box, even though the character is dreadfully boring without doing so.

John was better when he was an architect
Read Green Lantern Mosaic. He's definitely not a grunt, he constantly tells the Guardians to fuck off

Shame Jones kinda ruined it entering mainstream

Hal Jordan and it's not even close
John Stewart secondary
Guy Gardner tertiary
That's it

>Green Lantern Mosaic
Green Lantern Mosaic wasnt a really good book
It is also one of the first modern comics to have the weird fetish of blacked in your face
