Whether it's running your own show, or being a storyboarder, writer, or VA. It doesn't have to be realistic
Tell us about your dream Zig Forums job
Producing epic animated kinos that rival The Prince of Egypt and Treasure Planet in scale and beauty.
My dream job is lead vidya designer so I guess that but on a Zig Forums related tie in project.
I am not a hard worker so even a low rung job like a cartoon tie in game is pretty unrealistic for me.
I hope to make a fully animated Disney movie that has the feel and style of a H. P. Lovecraft story. I want it to feel creepy but also fun for kids. I hope Disney won't see my plans when I one day pitch the idea.
I would love to one day be able to do a lengthy run on Aquaman.
You already said it; VA
I've done some popular web/fan stuff and have 1 "actual" gig (placeholder VA, so it's not in the final product, but it was a paid gig with an NDA and everything), but I just need to get a good demo going.
Andy Merrill is basically the same age as me and grew up one town over. I could have been him but honestly it doesn't seem like it's been that great.
it hasn't
I would like to be the guy running the writing room. Like, I would actually prefer a sort of overseeing or directing role where I work closely with other people rather than just producing stuff by myself.
I wanted to create an epic retelling of the american revolution, with a sequal series covering the civil war. Think Liberty Kids meets Turn. At the time I was a weeb so I had an anime aestheitc in mind but now id go more western.
I also wanted to be a VA but my voice is garbage and still lisp even after a year of coaching classes
this pretty much, I dont have a creative bone in my body but im good at polishing up other peoples ideas
I want to make cartoon shorts and make enough money off of them that I can live decently.
I think you still need creativity in order to do that
I can’t draw, but I have a story I desperately want to turn into a cartoon. I think it could really be something unique. But since I can’t draw and have no way of getting it to a company like Netflix or wherever, I’ll probably have to elaborate more on the overarching plot and make it a book or something.
The ultimate dream is to be able to do a Simpsons couch gag. Even if I detest modern Simpsons. I would die a happy man knowing I made it. Put it before the worst episode of Simpsons or worst the most forgettable one, I don't care.
a show runner of a action cartoon with good ass world building on Hbo max or any other streaming service
fuck you for shitting on my dreams asshole
Make my own characters and stories, and have everyone else do the rest, but since that's impossible, i might as well start working on my own porn game
Good luck, I sincerely mean it.
Self employed, owning a big business complete with a skyscraper.
I just want to be able to make shit and earn enough money to get by. Every night after my shit job I work on a game I have been developing. I know it's most likely that no one is going to give a shit about it but I feel like if I don't at least try I am going to lose my fucking mind.
Thanks. You too, if you posted or not.
Living in a world in which comic books are actually valuable, Unless you have an original Amazing Spiderman #1 or something equal in rarity as well as in good condition, in today's market you can't make a lot of money off of selling non rare older comic books. So my dream would be to live in a world where I can buy and sell old comics no matter the rarity and make enough money to live comfortably.
Boy I'd sure love to run a cartoon on a network where my character won't be used for whatever the next popular social issue is but there ain't any fuckin networks out there like that any more
Producing independent comics would be nice.
To be the head of DC or Marvel so I can fire the editors and writers I hate.
I want to animate/storyboard at a feature film quality, but put my talents into TV animation and blow everyone away with it. A lot like Bryan Andrews can storyboard for MCU movies, but make kino on Genndy cartoons.
Voice Actor
I want to make a decent living by writing. Be it comics, short stories, erotica, pulp, I just want to try and eke out some indepent living through my talents and not have to rely on anyone other than my readers. I was on my way to gaining some traction back in wrting when covid took the wind out of my sails. But at least I got a retail job to tide me over until I can write again.
Currently working as a VO for kids products and for video game advertisements. My final goal would to be a main lead for any cartoon series.
I love my work in VO but my favorite gigs are cartoon and video game gigs.
Be the showrunner for a neat cartoon of my own design.
I have the software, skills and ideas, I just need the voices, the music, and the money.
I want to sit in the writer's room and help spitball ideas, unpaid and uncredited. I have no desire for money or recognition, only for being near things that I like.
If I won the lottery, I'd be a producer and fund niche things that suit my taste. That's usually what I dream about.
Legit you can find decent actors and music producers for not a whole lot hell if the content and animation is good they'll do it for free
Where do I find them? And where do people with money find me, the animator?
