I can't believe there's another time warp trio chad on Zig Forums. I liked this series and have always resented the lack of a proper conclusion. The cast was fairly balanced and I liked that they shuffled the cast just enough so it didn't get stale, but didn't seem jarring. There seemed to be a lot potential but then we just got what seemed like a mid season finale, let alone a series finale.

I remember loving the shit out of this show. It was pretty good how they decided to tackle all parts of history. They even had people die in the show like when Blackbeard shot two dudes digging a hole and then buried his treasure on top of their corpses.

Liked the books, was barely aware the show existed

Yeah, the show doesn't get enough credit for what it tried to represent.

I also don't recall the marketing for the show being that extraordinary back then.

Not as good as the books, but the theme song is still one of my favorite themes of all time youtu.be/HIPLFUknEDk

this was my shit as a kid. Discovery kids wasn’t too bad of a channel back then

I cant believe there are so many time warp trio chads here, I fucking Loved that show,

Loved the show. They would never get away with even implying the Imbangala were cannibals nowadays.

>Not as good as the books
How are the books? Never read them myself, though I hear the show makes some slight deviations. Was the whole mad jack plot line in the books as well? Was there any resolution to the plot?

It's a classic

Based show, didn't read the books. Wish there was more.

Man that's digging at some deep lost memories.

Loved the show as a little kid. The concept of each episode being a trio but with different combinations of the characters was brilliant to my little mind, and even years later I wish another show would go for something similar. Also hanging out with your great-great-great-whatever-grandkids always sounded super interesting. It definitely deserved better.

loved it as a kid. fuck that uncle

Now that's a name I haven't heard since I was in elementary school. Used to be my favorite show back then, and I'm glad to see so many other people remember it fondly as well.
Looking back, the animation doesn't really hold up that well compared to some of the other shows on at the time, but it was still the best show on Discovery Kids. ...Or not, I don't even remember what they showed on there.

Considering the 2005-2006 running date, some other notable cartoons that aired on Discovery Kids were;
>Growing up Creepie
>Kenny the Shark
>Tutenstein
And perhaps a few others I may be forgetting.

I really liked it when I was younger. I wonder if I should rewatch it, though I have a feeling it might not grab me as much since I'm older.

It might be worth a rewatch just to get a taste of what it was in the past.

There are many full episode on YouTube after all, albeit in low quality.

The book is probably one of my favorite time travel methods, it had so many unique uses besides the typical temporal place shifting.

Fuck, I want to talk more about this show but it was so short/tight plot wise there’s not much to go on except loose plot threads that were never answered.

Always confused this song with the La's- There she goes.
There's a huge difference between them listening to them side by side.
But I'd still like to see some kind of faster, punk There she goes with the Sitar.
It'll be a rough translation, a weird remix. When I was much younger and I was genuinely mixing up the songs, the imaginary remix was so distinct, but I've compared the two songs so often, I've forgotten the remix in my head and I've gone a bit deaf to whatever part of the song inspired me in the first place.

So why was it ever explained why his evil uncle wanted the book so bad?
I thought it was confusing that he had twin uncles.

Actual kino for all ages

The only thing I remember when I think about this show was the high sexual tension between the characters, then I remember they're related.

I remember shipping the main characters with their great granddaughters.
Good theme song as well.

I saw an episode in school.
Liked it well enough

>Tutenstein
This one stands out to me, the production values were weirdly high quality for Discovery Kids. They weren't spectacular or anything, but it looked more like something you'd see on a bigger network.

The intro was killer. Watched the shit out of it at intermediate school and middle school. Pirating was so much harder back then.

Why the fuck were there genderswapped-versions part of the main cast

They were their future descendants. They just happened to be female and a inventive way to diversify the cast. Kinda touching to know that even in the future, their descendants become best friends just like their present selves.

Why has nobody brought this up yet

They did, you're blind.

No I didn't.
