Neither are any good and the only reason anyone cares about that version is April's ass. If you grew up in the 90s TMNT wasn't garbage(minus the obvious exceptions) but going to an arcade or chuck e cheese and playing 4 player Tmnt and watching the movies and VHS tapes of the old show were hype as shit. Now you got them beating the shit out of a dead franchise, bug surprise it reminds me of practically anything that lasts a while. Spongebob ruined, family guy(it was decent at the start I guess) ruined, Simpsons ruined. It's the same thing with all of your billion of spiderman, avengers, batman crap. I actually liked some of the new stuff. The hidden city, Big Mama, Meat Sweats, Splinter’s new origin as Lou Jitsu. Even Leonardo not being the leader grew on me after awhile.

These threads are always bait because they never mention any real criticism beyond “it sucks, old ones are better because muh childhood or muh edge”. Watching the 2012 show, it’s full of bad comedy, plot conveniences, rushed resolutions, etc. And yet that is better just because it had drama here and there.
Not to mention how most of the stuff they love came from late S2 onwards. You compare season 1 and half of season 2 from the 2012 and Rise and it’s not as good as what Rise did.
Rise is fucking awesome, can’t wait for the movie
