I haven’t seen it in years but I remember it fondly.
Also it introduced me to Tom Waits so that’s pretty good.

youtube.com
I agree this scene was kino
I remember it being actually decent
I remember the robot with the giant ass giving me a questionable boner as a kid
Yeah Bigweld was pretty hot I know
Hehe. Big butted-robot pooted.
tranny garbage
But enough about yourself user, let's talk about robots
was a fun, silly movie about robots. Wasn't exactly special, but it wasn't bad. Spent to much time on the city cast it did nothing with until the finale.
First half of the movie is a Pixar film and fucking fantastic. The second half is Dreamworks (complete with dance number ending) and the movie needed to commit to one side to be great but it sadly mixed and jarring. You can pinpoint when the movie goes to shit, it's when they try to break into the party and don disguises. There's a total tonal shift and everything goes out the window and Bigweld just gets fucking thrown in on some bullshit wave of shit in a giant room that's somehow massive out of nowhere and the corporate woman suddenly replaces the yellow chick as the love interest.
It honestly feels like they handed the movie over to a different team halfway through and they just fucking changed the ending last minute. It's a shame, it's really charming and has some great gags in the beginning like the big hammer
>oh they brought it back
and then later you have stupid shit like the britney spears dance number.
>Bigweld just gets fucking thrown in on some bullshit wave of shit in a giant room that's somehow massive out of nowhere
That scene was great, though
I agree with your point about the tonal shift, though. It was ambitious for Blue Sky to make a movie that was essentially about Class Warfare but they backed down in the end
Incredibly bland, nonexistent story, boring characters, but good to play in the background.
Kind of meh.
Very creative for robot and metal world concepts.
I preferred Zootopia for a moving to the big city plot.
>a robot wearing another robot's torso makes me frightened
>also youtubers have to form opinions for me
This reminds me of Veruca Salt and Americans I know not understanding the "name"...
Love this classic transgender piece of cinematic art.
I loved this as a kid
No waifus, don't care. Looks like shit.
I would disagree but there's like eight different genderbending jokes in the movie. One of the writers had a hangup
Why are you unironically defending trannies you dirty kike
the story is mixed bag, but the art direction is seriously underrated. It's a mix of 50s toys/interior design/sci-fi illustrations and art deco, it's great. Also the fact it's the only movie that has both Bill Murray and Mel Brooks, who both do great VAs work compared to their other comedy peers, adds to the charm.
See a need
Fill a need.
Because I don't hate people based on superficial attributes. That's fucking stupid and so are you.
Cutting your dick off and larping as a woman isn't superficial kek
Yeah, it is absolutely superficial. Physically, anyway. There's of course the various social nuances there, but bigots like you actively refuse to acknowledge such things, so there's no point in talking about them with you.
>seriously thinks that reassignment surgery involves outright removing genitalia
You're retarded. And I'm not wasting my time responding to you anymore.
Her
>obsessed
you know, if you're jealous, you could always ask a doctor.
Astro Boy was better. Similar vibes, but still better. Robots lacked a good story or interesting characters
i know youre mad he lost man but calm down
Robots was the first of many, many CG movies that tried to be like Dreamworks. Everything about this movie's writing feels like an attempt by Fox to piggybank on Dreamworks's success at the time. I don't get why they did this. Ice Age was its own thing and it was a big hit, so there was no reason to do it.
I can understand Disney doing it with Chicken Little, since they were struggling at the time and were seen as old fashioned by the public, but Fox has no such excuse
It's very creative and well animated but most of the jokes aged terribly.
they really thought that robin williams crossdressing joke was funny. i don't know why but god bless 'em for sticking to it.
