For somebody like Thanos, The Hulk is a nuisance better avoided than confronted.

A fight with standard Hulk would probably be like Thanos’ fight with the Champion: Thanos is physically inferior, but uses his skill and reasonable physical prowess to put Hulk in a situation he can’t get out of.

Starlin Thanos isn’t like current Thanos. He used his head and previous skills to overcome his enemies more so than just blowing things up.
