I actually think that the "spirits of order and chaos" thing was a good idea, and could have been really interesting and cool if it had been handled well (it wasn't. Fanfic has managed to salvage some cool stuff out of the idea though).

It was a good cartoon, one of the best of the 2010s.

They did a great job of making the Kuvira arc ethically meaningful by pointing out korra was essentially acting as a puppet of the establishment and a slave to traditionalism (as well as asami).
Too good in fact since they had to make Kuvira earthbending stalin offscreen to make her position not entirely justified.

The animation was actually better than TLAB. Too bad the choreography was worse.
