So, why does Zig Forums give this show so much hate? I understand its fanbase is annoying and constantly brings up TTG to shit on it for no reason but I loved it growing up. Its characters were diverse and interesting and it knew how to be thematically diverse (episodes could go from lighthearted and wholesome to goofy to dramatic to downright grimdark with smooth transition.) Does it have to do with the way it used anime faces or it's lack of connection to the DCAU?
Oh, and it had some of the best waifu material of any western cartoon.
For real though. He was probably beyond the targeted age demographic anyway.

We shit on TTG because its trash. Its visual movie popcorn, nothing but empty calories and fat, but just for your mind. You wonder why kids these days are disgusting little retards doing fortnite dances and acting like spoiled little shits constantly? Its because they're raised on shit like TTG, Sanjay and Craig, Fortnite, Soulless Disney Sitcom #6,251, etc. Kids programming used to be clever and have actual heart and depth. Avatar, Teen Titans, Clone Wars, If we give our children nothing but worthless drivel in their formative years, what will they grow up to be? It fills me with dread even contemplating it.

the show's understated crime was kids unfamiliar with the character to associate Slade Wilson with >pure evil >pedophilic undertones >ron perlman (who was held as a god standard over more fitting VAs since) and writers since have run with this, removing a lot of Slade's moral ambiguity to make him a complete fucking bastard in most media

Pretty much all the worst parts of the show came from taking a story adapted at teens and turning it to a kid’s book Look at Terra. Sure the new one was more complex in some areas, but the original Judas Contract was a bitter life lesson for the Titans that they couldn’t save everyone. The fact they had to change a suicide to a heroic sacrifice pretty much ruined the best part of her character. That she couldn’t just be magically fixed by throwing a little love her way.
