Mama needs a little (You) to cope on
Aside from a druggie mom, is her family life really all THAT bad? Dad doesn't seem all that abusive, and the worst thing about Grandpa is the fact that he's killing himself
THEY KILLED MY THREAD, NOW I LIVE MY NIGHTMARE
GOTTA GET (you)s FROM SOMEONE OUT THERE
NOW I LURK HERE IN THE BIG FAT CIRCLE JERK
HOPING THAT NOW MY CONSTANT BITCHING WILL WORK
dad's an emotionally abusive narcissist dude, his introductory scene is him demanding she stand around and let him talk at her about how he's glad he's so much more better looking than she is and that no one should be allowed to criticize him because he's "growing as a person".
>aside from bad thing, is X really THAT bad?
wasted milf is my fetish
I mean any problem by nature can still be a huge issue if the magnitude's that great, considering what he really looks like brings it into perspective.
How do we know that's really what he looks like? My thoughts is that's just what Claire thinks of him as.
>tfw your parent is a combo of the druggie mom and the narcissist dad
Fair point. All I can say is it's the only time you see him without the mirrors, without seeing it from his eyes, but the opposite of that, Claire's view and not the real one, is equally as probable. I think at some point he says he started scratching his own skin off through his obsessive acts, which if true leads to the notion he really is disfigured and is coping with delusions in those mirrors.
Is this Jack Stauber?
I'll give you three guesses.
it is, he had a new animated special on adult swim

That happens in the same cut where grandad literally has no eyeballs. It's a metaphor, a spooky easteregg. He's got a shiny front but he's really all cracked and withered inside.
Still has the best song and I wish they were extended for the soundtrack release.
What the fuck did i just watch?
Kino.
A Max Gilardi cartoon

Funny how a woman can see multiple bad sides of being noticed and still focus on wanting that the most.

Do you think it will get nominated for Best Animated Short?
Shop was cool
and his music is good
You mean aside from a druggie alcoholic mother who acts like she's not above beating her kid, a dying senile Grandpa, and a father who refuses to even look at her for fear of not being able to look at himself for half a second?
Tell me sweet lies. I'm so tired.
It wasn't abusive, but it was definitely neglectful, as well as just a bad environment in general for Claire because everyone's piling their problems onto her and warping her worldview.
I think the dad's probably the least bad, but even then he seems to still emotionally hurt Claire by unintentionally or otherwise calling her ugly/insulting how her body looks. The mom on the other hand is handsy with Claire and actively tells her that she'll grow up to be worthless/powerless and that the whole world is shit, basically just using Claire as a receptacle for all her depressive drug talk shit, her song in general seems to imply she only see's Claire as someone who should take care of HER, not the other way around.
The Grandpa is a bit of a weird one, he seems to do something similar to the mother in that he basically traps Claire in conversations and rants on about how his body is deteriorating, but he also throws paranoid accusations her way about the cigarettes ((probably something that happens a lot)) and, whether its due to dementia or some other mental degradation, he forgets who she is sometimes and looks like he's actually trying to hurt her, even if he can barely walk.
As things are, its not a house any child should live in because it'll ruin her, she's already looking thin as a rail even without the emotional neglect anyway.
>It wasn't abusive
hmmm
Naw man, shit sucks.
