>Sells himself as Batman's better, and his student adversary since Bruce began his globetrotting training. >Appears in Gotham post Joker War to prove himself as the vigilante the city deserves, superior to Batman in every way. >Turns out this guy has been beaten by Bruce at every encounter since he was 15 >Starting killing masters in a desperate attempt to hinder Bruce's training and hopefully beat him (which failed) >All the crime fighting he's done thus far was amateur, resulting in criminal charges not sticking and families not getting closure. >Both Batman and Harley call his outfit/name stupid
Holy fuck I think I'm starting to see the appeal of this guy now. He's another "Anti-Batman", but like a pissed off fedora edgelord who keeps fucking up. No wonder no one has heard of him, because he's never been "the best".
What petty bullshit should this guy pull? How much more edge can we cram in for comedic gold?
How the fuck does this guy not make criminal charges stick but Batman does?
Why does Batman need so many anti-batmen just to try and justify batman?
Colton James
What was his secret identity? Another childhood friend like Black Mask and Hush?
Jacob Price
>How the fuck does this guy not make criminal charges stick but Batman does? Batman actively works with the police and he's a fucking detective
Brandon Murphy
>he's a fucking detective Where’s his license?
Brody Moore
>How the fuck does this guy not make criminal charges stick but Batman does? Basically he did dumb shit like expose corrupt judges, but fucked up an ongoing investigation that would have pinpointed to the men who bought them out. Another example is putting away a serial killer, but didn't know Cassandra Cain was watching him waiting to see where he stashed his "trophies" but now since he's arrested the families of his missing victims will never get closure. He was so quick to prove he was better than Batman, Ghost-Maker didn't think about what justice should really be. He's motivated by petty bullshit that started when he and Bruce were kids. >Why does Batman need so many anti-batmen just to try and justify batman? He really doesn't, I was just commenting how Ghost-Maker kind of works by stressing how shit he is. More like an asshole who trained under the same mentors as Bruce. As far as I know (its still early) they were never friends
Jack Flores
>As far as I know (its still early) they were never friends They were lovers. Bruce hit it and quit it, and Ghosty's been butthurt ever since. Calling it now.
Jaxon Cruz
How has Batman not done the exact same thing? Don't give me this detective bullshit because he's not been a detective for fucking decades.
Batman doesn't work with the police, he gathers intelligence for himself and then busts in on his self-created enemy. If Batman worked even slightly with the police they wouldn't be running around like 1950s cops and crime would be eradicated.
Hunter Nguyen
i like the outfit.
Connor Harris
The pants evoke a saggy diaper. Not flattering.
Brody Cook
Wish they would stop giving everyone street character a katana.
John Wood
This character from Bruce's formative years is better than all these new schlock characters that pop up every 5 issues. His design is good, and he's actually cool.
Aiden Carter
Isn't Gotham City basically stuck in the 1950's but with modern tech?
Liam Walker
Isn't the United States?
Elijah Cruz
>Basically he did dumb shit like expose corrupt judges, but fucked up an ongoing investigation that would have pinpointed to the men who bought them out. Oh right, the same massive cope that Batman authors use every time a superpowered hero shows up in Gotham and effortlessly deals with one of his recurring villains, Batman shows up and calls them idiots for fucking up a massive sting he was planned that would go all the way to the top.
Anthony Lee
>Batman doesn't work with the police He works with Gordon and Bullock all the time. They can just say they found the evidence that pins them. >Oh right, the same massive cope that Batman authors use every time a superpowered hero shows up in Gotham Name 3 times this has happened
Kevin Carter
Sorry, also meant to quote
Jeremiah King
He is a Sasuke, they always come off as pretentious edgelords.
Lucas Flores
a rival thats fucking awful at actually being a rival is an amazing concept.
Jack Powell
He looks rad as fuck except when juxtaposed against Batman, where he looks remarkably out of place like he wandered in from a mid 2000-2010s Image comic. He really should be one of Terry's villains
Ian Lee
The hilarious bit? I get the feeling he plays off the "no one has heard of me" thing like its some badass enigmatic bullshit but the reality is that he's been training his ass off, licking his wounds, and instead of making a name for himself the autist has devoted his life to being the silver medalist no one except Batman has bothered with. This guy COULD have been like a off brand Deathstroke that could have lmade a decent living, but instead is a nobody.
Eli Bennett
I absolutely hate new Batman villains and characters because they don't actually set out to be a proper foil to Batman or have good chemistry/dynamics with the other villains/cast. They can't stand on their own, or as Batman villains. They don't aim to expand on anything innovative that's consistent with existing stuff, or could easily be replaced by existing villains who deserve the focus after Joker's stolen so much attention.
The best and most memorable villains parallel or mirror the hero and actually grab the reader's attention - they demand it and engage you.
Brody Ward
>Basically he did dumb shit like expose corrupt judges, but fucked up an ongoing investigation that would have pinpointed to the men who bought them out. He was so quick to prove he was better than Batman, Ghost-Maker didn't think about what justice should really be. He's motivated by petty bullshit that started when he and Bruce were kids. That's just a massive cope on Batman's and the writer's part, you dumbass
Charles Bailey
This is the character's introductory story. It's not a cope, he's being written to be a dumbass deliberately.
Julian Price
>The best and most memorable villains parallel or mirror the hero So basically just...the evil knockoff/counterpart? Marvel's been doing that for years now and everyone is tired of that shit.
Jose Scott
>The best and most memorable villains parallel or mirror the hero and actually grab the reader's attention - they demand it and engage you. Can we be honest for a minute here? Yes a good majority of Batman villains have great parallels, mirroring aspects of Bruce's character, but when you think about it that's the extent of a lot of them. Seriously, when's the last time we had a good Scarecrow story? Two-Face? Mister Freeze? They don't work with repeated use it seems. Maybe that's partly the writers fault, but you have to wonder if Batman villains only work as one offs. Is that supposed to be some sort of argument? Because "cope" isn't what you think it means. Buzzwords rot your brain, user.
Gabriel Cook
>The best and most memorable villains parallel or mirror the hero and actually grab the reader's attention You might have a point there.
you hit these criminals before they get big or bigger, unlike what Batman does, which is let them fester and run around, like his policy with Joker. When the supposed "masterminds" that Bruce is targeting run out of resources to hire underlings or lackeys, then they'll expose themselves eventually.
Jayden Scott
You strike me as the kind of retard that doesn't really understand how the legal system works, the constant power vacuum of organized crime, and the fact that Gotham has been corrupt for decades
Liam Thompson
if you're gonna fall back on "how the legal system works" then you shouldn't be reading caped vigilante comics anyway
Kevin Gray
hes isnt british
Samuel Baker
And now I'm getting the vibe that literally anything triggers you. >"This is stupid!" >"Well cape comics are stupid, you shouldn't expect much" Making up your fucking mind already.
Also why ARE you mad to begin with. For years we've been given "guy who's better at the hero in every way with similar skills". Now we get a rival who fucking sucks, which is oddly refreshing, and you still bitch
Isaac Baker
>I don't like your reply, so I'll just call you triggered lol keep projecting small son
Jordan Gonzalez
I actually had an argument, you however still don't. Want to keep digging that hole?
Levi Ward
you lost any argument the moment you desperately accused me of being "triggered", and made it obvious there was no point continuing any kind of discussion with you keep projecting tho, it suits you in that hole you're in
Nathan Thomas
>Ignores the actual argument posted and obsesses over the "triggered" remark, only to reinforce the claim >Tries to pull the "no point continuing any kind of discussion with you" card in a desperate attempt to take the high road/save face >Subconsciously resorts to mimicry, repeating the same insult that was thrown at him in a "no u" demeanor.
Yeah I thought so. You're doing great, user. Totally saved.
Juan Gomez
didn't read, but seeing you type all that out just makes it clear as day that you're seething hahaha
