it is.

also the best pinkie and the brain short is the country western one.

>Had the best studio working on it
>Had the best comedic timing
>Not too long and not too short, just the right length

It really is the best Animaniacs short

Getting to the "pretending that anybody enjoys Animaniacs before it premieres" stage of shilling, huh?

I had this episode saved on a VHS tape as a kid. I watched it until it went fucking blurry.

My nigga. It still makes me laugh my ass off to this very day. I still whistle the clown's whippoorwill song while I'm busy with something.

Go away you scare me.

Go away, you scare me!

This is basically just
>I am scared of clowns.
>I am a clown, "Puppy" Wakko.
>I am scared of clowns.

Genius writing! Just toss in some imitations of Wile E. Coyote.

when it first came out I was like "huh, Jerry Lewis is the clown, how random"

then a few years later I learned about "The Day the Clown Cried", a movie starring Jerry Lewis in which he plays a clown at a concentration camp during World War 2. The entire movie was filmed and edited, and at the last minute Lewis came to his senses and demanded that it never be released, copied, or screened.

that's fuckin' hardcore for an animated afternoon TV show...

OH NICE AND CHUBBY BABY

Hey, is the chubby orange gonna fart! HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

And then they did the Apocalypse Now parody where the Lewis expy parodies Brando as a deranged director shooting his unfinished film, called "The Tragic Clown".

Honestly I felt some of the best Animaniacs material was in the comics

I've never read them. What are they like? I feel like the Warners themselves are so rooted in animation and sound that it wouldn't come off right in a comic.

Largely the same humor with more visual gags. They also got a little more risque with the girls, I think.

Dot did Pinups.

Based on what?

Basard

The best Warner cartoons were the ones that involved they themselves being terrorized. See "Clown & Out", "Lookit the fuzzy heads" and "Chairman of the bored."
