What is the culturally relevancy of fat albert now that cosby has been outed as a rapist? Will it eventually fade into obscurity?

>Will it eventually fade into obscurity

You mean it hasn't already? Not too many people have watched the movie these days let alone the cartoon
Today's generation likely only knows of it because of it's relevancy from the past generation that will occasionally bring it up and it's connection to Bill Cosby

Same thing with Little Bill probably

>Will it eventually fade into obscurity?
It is already but for black twitter memes.

Hey hey hey I’m not going away

It’s going to fade
It was really known a couple decades ago, but now it’s been a long time since it aired. They can’t reboot it, make merchandise for it, truly reair it, or whatever else because of Cosby. It’s not going to get a new audience because no one will see it or see new things with it, it can’t be a “brand” like some cartoon characters, and the older audience either disassociates with it because of Cosby or will eventually die out
So yeah, it’s a doomed property fully

>Will it eventually fade into obscurity?
>implying that it had any relevancy since the 70s

And before you bring up the movie from SIXTEEN years ago...

Go find some more spicy memes hiding in it.

i'd look for spicy memes inside that teacher if you know what i mean

if he really raped those hollywood bimbos then I think he's a swell guy
the only thing that bothers me is that he didn't strangle them and throw their asses into a dumpster behind dennys

It’ll remain a somewhat culturally relevant show due to its nature being one of the first black animated shows but it’s not gonna get much of a new audience from black people or white people.

not...
>fade into obesity

you had one job

You guys realize black people are on Cosby's side right? If people completely forget about it, it won't be because of him.

>You guys realize black people are on Cosby's side right?
Older black people, maybe. Cosby has pissed off tons of black people in recent years by doing public appearances where he pulled the "pull up your pants and stop with the hip hop dancing" rhetoric that pissed off younger and middle class black people.

>"Fat Albert and the gang have decided to aim a little lower with their wymyn one day"
>*Albert gropes a girl*
>"Hmmph, no ass"
>*laugh track plays*

>"pull up your pants and stop with the hip hop dancing"

That's a good message for any human being.

lmao

While I won't say it's bad advice, a lot of black people get pissed when respectability politics are lobbed against them, especially by older wealthy black men. There are a lot of black people who still haven't forgiven Obama for calling the rioters in Baltimore "thugs"

Fat Albert is too surreal to not pick at it for memes. But its never getting a genuine revival, we saw the rare instance of a series completely dying.

>Hey, hey, hey, I'm the master of the Keyblade

I never say never. I can see someone buying the rights and reviving it but washing any Cosbyness from the show.
Sure, some SJWs on Twitter would seethe for a week or so but Fat Albert isn't necessarily hard to distance from Cosby as it would be to distance the Cosby Show from Cosby.

Fat Albert is more relevant than ever.

You do realize it's a literal parody of offensive tropes about black people who had to live in the projects (governmental housing in shit neighborhoods) and Cosby created the damn thing there is zero point to reviving such a toxic brand. I am sorry your childhood show got painted with piss by time.

Don't underestimate the power of CalArts

>fade into obscurity?
Outside Of Trannie Twitter,
Nah, it'll be like Michael jackson or R.Kelly's I believe I can Fly" it'll be out there but not something explored deep.

>You guys realize black people are on Cosby's side right?
No they are not, in fact, black people are more unforgiving with there Starts than whites, Michael Jackson is a classic case, most had disowned him as a black Star by 1987, hence by he kept on the "I'm black and I'm proud soup box in the 1990s.

Hey hey hey, kingdom hearts is gay.

can always count on my fellow brown brickers to represent the true Fat Albert

Not as long as Kingdom Hearts is fucking gay

It was kind of shit to begin with
Too many characters in the main crew, what the hell was Weird Harold bringing to the table.

Erm...okay?

It will live on forever, along with the rest of Dr. Cosby's brilliant contributions.
The reaction images could keep it alive by themselves.
