On the one hand, the look Adora gives Catra after she almost destroys reality with the portal seemed like "You'e gone too far, this is completely unforgivable, our friendship is dead, I will do everything to stop you now" and them pulling back on that to give Catra an undeserved redemption, and a romance, felt like a betrayal of that moment, and a hand-wave of all the horrible, self-centered things Catra has done.
But also, short haired hypno Catra fighting Adora make my pp hard, so it's kinda even.

There is a reason that slash ships between heroes and villains are usually the stuff of bad fanfics, not of successful shows. There are possible ways to pull off a villain being in love with a hero and possibly getting redeemed, but it is not like this.
