The new Lego Star Wars special was fun

I'm actually really surprised with the lack of extended Canon content. Considering how much of a love letter the special felt like, the lack of anything outside the films aside from one Mando cameo and a quick reference to Batuu was disappointing

I know it's not canon but I like the direction they seem to want to take the post-9 era
Rey doubting herself while attempting to train Finn is a good direction for both characters and theres a lot of potential there for her inevitable "Jedi order" to be able to differentiate itself from Lukes in a satisfying way

Mustafar Anakin and Obi-Wan riding with Ani was comfy.

I honestly thought they were the same. I thought Lego Rey's VA sounded like she was struggling to hit a lone vocal tone, and it occasionally came off a little Downs-y.

I thought she sounded great. Much better than Finn or Kylo

I thought Rey at least sounded enough like Daisy Ridley that it might have been her, or was at least someone trying to sound like her.
Finn was just rando black guy, sort of like Poe was just generic Italian from the tri-State area.

Poe sounded mostly okay, but writing-wise I felt like he was the most flanderized
Not that's not what I was expecting, it's lego afterall. Just something I noticed

Poe should just be forgotten about, He has no real Character because he was created as a catalyst for finn's development, He was meant to die as the TIE Fighter went down. He was only kept alive because the actors has good chemistry. The Name Poe comes from the term "John Doe" which is used to refer to a corpse whose identity is unknown.

I personally moved on by not giving a f about SW anymore.

It was fine I guess. Some of the jokes landed well, and poking fun at the sequel trilogy is always welcome, but it still reminded me just how fucked the sequels were, and some of the voice acting was pretty damn bad, especially Rey. Also ignoring Ashoka completely when they mentioned Mando was kinda shitty.
If you're a SW fan, you can watch it and have a few laughs (unless you're really allergic to Rey or something), but it's mostly just bland and inoffensive.
