What even is the point of this scene when Norman spoiled it a few issues back?
What even is the point of this scene when Norman spoiled it a few issues back?
Bad writing.
The whole thing's padded out. Wouldn't be surprised if that issue was added after the arc was already planned out.
Who is it?
Harry. Norman said it like a month ago and this confirms it so there's no chance of a "actually that's not Harry" twist.
Peter's reaction to it. Just because the audience knows, it doesn't mean Peter knows. He's not an audience surrogate. You can both be curious for what happened and for how someone will react to what happened. It's two different reveals.
Because "dude, references, lmao"
this
It’s even funnier since Harry and Peter had come to terms on his death bed, so it’s an act of spite that meant nothing any more.
Peter exists to suffer.
What did Harry do
What always pissed me off is how writers continually kill or transform Peter's normal friends into villains so his cast keeps getting smaller and smaller and no one ever bothers to try and create decent new characters to make up for it.
Eventually there will be only MJ and May for Peter to talk to.
>It hook him 50 issues to come up with this.
i think he tricked peter into thinking his parents were alive, turned out to be actors or robots or something. He set the whole thing up before he died
Should have been OMD Pete back from Hell
What plot threads are still unresolved/loose from Spencer's run thus far? The mystery of Ned Leeds warning Spider-Man to protect Betty Brant from something/someone? Norah and the Chameleon, Kingpin and the Tablet. Anything else?
Didnt Harry moved on and had a family? Also that's stupid Harry is better as the second Green Goblin.
>Betty is the new love interest.
lol ..fuck that shit.
>People say he did Hunted out of respect for Dematteis' KLH.
>Uses Harry for Kindred which hurts Dematteis' death of Harry storyline, specially because both moved on from all that and were friends again after his ressurection
I bet he won't even acknowledge Mephisto's deal too. It was always fan wish fulfillment and even he wanted to do that Marvel would probably stop him anyway
>Didnt Harry moved on and had a family?
Bingo. The only reason he has a fucking story now is because of Peter's shennanigans. Harry should either go back to being the goblin or fuck off. There's literally no reason for him to be tormenting Peter like this.
People are speculating it's pre-OMD Harry. There's no reason why current Harry would be like this and have demonic powers.
They kind of did, tho, along with hand of vishanti from JMS run.
I think they both share the same purpose of putting each respective character back in the grave where they belong. Wasn’t Harry the only character directly revived by OMD? Revival by a deal with the devil probably puts some stink on your soul that needs cleansing. On the other hand, Harry deserves life much more than Kraven did, and now has two boys to take care of instead of one. Would suck if he goes now.
Maybe this is a Harry clone and it'll be like Harry's version of a clone saga
1:1 reference to OMiT and confirmed Harry went to hell when he died.
Like we don’t know this is about OMD already.
Any idea when the first spoilers of the 53.LR may be leaked?
I was guessing it was harry after he was taunting Norman when he was locked up in a looney bin
didnt they resolve the tablet? something something alien dog that goes big and is now their pet thanks to pym particles?
I hope next issue, 53.LR will have more details about the mysterious "Spider-MJ".
Harry's return after omd was never shown. He said he came back to life like Norman and was hidden away in europe, but there's nothing substantial there to retcon.
Straczynski wanted OMD to retcon decades of stories by having Peter talk Harry sober before their final confrontation.
I suspect that we're going to reconcile that.
I don't think we're going to see Spencer restore the marriage, but instead try to give some actual closure to that stupid story that won't actually satisfy anyone.
But who knows with Shogun-Sama at the helm.
Amazing how Bagley made the 90s aesthetic work
Seeing Pete's reaction?
