It's so odd that Crystal was one of the more popular Inhumans, but was so neglected by the Inhumans push. They didn't use her until All-New Inhumans in late 2015, and cut her hair short, a redesign which has somehow stuck.

The problem with the Inhumans is that they have awful designs, are Discount Muggers and have no interesting lore and unique aesthetic. They need to be streamlined and turned into Marvel Dune.
I prefer the bobcut to the long and short.

Ewing was avoiding them like the plague in Empyre to the point of throwing off the story. No clear answer why because thompson, cates, hickman, and orlando weren't stopped from mentioning/using the inhumans.

I legit wonder if there was some sort of "Crystal was considered an FF character" being the reason why she was completely ignored for like a year. There's a scene where that one guy asks Medusa where her family is, and Medusa, with Gorgon and Triton by her side, says "My husband is missing, Karnak is dead, and Lockjaw is on a mission". I have no idea what level of incompetence was going on for Medusa to forget her sister.
Must be that thing where they didn't see Crystal on the cover of Jack Kirby's comics and thus they forgot she existed.

The only character who had a lot of potential was Auran, and that's mainly due to the idea that she had a botched resurrections and she became a living contradiction.

Crystal always had this weird thing where she is barely used in actual Inhuman books. I always chalked it up to not having a proper dynamic establish within the family. Even Kirby didn't use her in Amazing Adventures. Though nothing was as egregious as the inhuman push. Soule didn't even bother to have appear in the background or gave proper reason for absence.

Honestly, a big reason why the Inhumans pushed failed was they put so many of their chips on Medusa and she was so fucking boring.
