Okay so in the Fate universe, there are several types of magic. One in particular is known as the 'Reality Marble', where a person is able to overlay their internal reality over the actual physical world. 'Unlimited Blade Works' is the result of somebody expending an immense amount of magical power to overlay their internal world, developed over the course of the story to contain every legendary weapon that ever existed, on top of the real physical world, giving that person an unlimited number of copy weapons to use as they wish.
It's a VN character's special attack, making it a lot more complicated than most anime characters' special attacks, but you're basically on the money.
