The only reason anyone will be pissed is because the puritanical right wing teamed up with doomsday preppers, Koch Industires, and Mitch McConnel, then became mainstream, and the left can only have discussions centering around Twitter hashtags but the only hashtags that work are #angry.
There's no way to not offend people who live in crippling social media bubbles that prey on their anger for ad revenue.

Mitch McConnel has made corruption into an accepted practice. You pay money, you get protection from his Senate. The dude is a notorious "win at all costs" individual and the cost can be the whole nation for all he cares. McCain battled him for years on his corruption, but the money won and McCain passed away. I guess I shouldn't say it's the Puritans, but rather Evangelical ministers who have come to worship wealth and power above even a single one of God's laws, and they've thrown their hats in with the dirty money ring. Koch Industires was at it so bad the surviving Koch brother actually apologized this year - look it up, I fuck with you not.
In that time people were pissed the electoral college won rather than the popular votes. They were angry about the process and advocated for amendments to it but didn't say that democracy or any of the Constitutional systems were patently fake.
