It won't happen because there is no way in hell Batman's life can end happily with how he pushes people away.
There is no reason for immortal characters like Wonder Woman, Superman and Thor to have an ending just like Mythologic deities never had a conclusion to their stories unlike the demigods.
Mortals like Batman and Captain America in the other hand should eventually retire and allow their legacy to go on without them.
His daughter Claire is his immediate successor. Miles comes way later when Pete's like 70 years old.

Spider-man Life Story wasn't very happy ending either. I think he even kills Kraven. But Batman isn't meant to be happy. It can be a story on how he basically destroys his life by never breaking his vow. Ending with the dark knight strikes again or whatever happened to the caped crusader

It's weird that in this continuity Peter did Marry both Gwen and MJ. And that MJ fucked both Harry and Peter. Good thing Harry went insane cause that would have been awkward
TDKR is more of an epilogue. I haven't read the new frank miller one but even TDKSA felt tacked on to a book that definitely felt like a finale.

I really liked it but felt it was waaaaaay to rushed. It should have been at least 12 issues, honestly I feel like it could have gone even longer and been a line-wide "event" akin to Earth-X.
There were so many interesting ideas that just got one page and were never fully explored. Each issue feels like one great idea after another just being rushed through instead of really being allowed to breathe. I wish each decade had an entire miniseries, maybe four issues for each decade, instead of just getting one issue each.
Pokemon Manga has new protags each go around so in a comparison to comics it does better
