Why is this show so awful?
Who the fuck is responsible for shit like the timeskips and horrible design choices?
Did they really think it was acceptable to have crucial events just get skipped offscreen?
They introduced and killed Jason Todd off entirely within a timeskip!
Young Justice
How come people don't use their brains? Do you really want to see another Red Hood thing for the like hundredth time even though the entire world already knows what happened? Also Red Hood has like nothing to do with the rest of the team, that was a purely Batman story.
There was no point in doing it at all.
It's obvious as fuck they only did that shit so they could have Red Hood show up as a villain later on.
And they should've had the fucking decency to at least introduce us to Jason if they were going to use Red Hood.
Are you just bored and making dumb contrarian threads right now
But it's really not good.
I kinda get what you're saying if you're a Jason fan that feels cockteased. But I mean what's the point in anything if you put it like that, right? He was like in one scene and was basically an easter egg, there's a ton of shit like that in Young Justice and it's just to make the world feel big and so you get a sense of all this history between all the characters. I won't say you're like wrong? But Red Hood was far from the focus of the show. He was just there for fanservice and his short duel with Nightwing, that way Dick wasn't just fighting random mook number 4.
Name those crucial events because I'm pretty sure we seen them adapted many times already. Besides Tula's death form that shit video game, seeing Todd die would be unnecessary drama.
I just feel like the timeskips were bad decisions in general.
The illusion of depth.
>the videogame
What corporate retard was behind that?
The ones that add "the video game" to every product, you get shovelware.
From a writing perspective, you should try and understand what the point of a timeskip is for. Every season is vastly different in where the characters are and what state the world is in. If it all happened in the span of six months, that is too unrealisitc, even for a superhero show.
Bullshit.
Timeskips are for skipping past "nothing happens" parts of a story, not as unearned world setting changers.
lol people are mad about the timeskip still
So you want episodes dedicated to boring fluff about Lex Luthor in politics? Or Cassie training with Wonder Woman? Be specific.
>Timeskips are for skipping past "nothing happens" parts of a story
Also that's exactly what it's used for, too. Like other than Tula, but her not having an episode for her death had a purpose for the "Aqualad turned bad" narrative.
it shouldn't have lasted more than 2 seasons at most
greg weisman
yes
yes
its a show that should have died in the early 10s
I shouldn't just argue against your opinions though. I do have some complaints about the direction of the story and certain elements, mostly the cringe social media stuff and the space bugs. But I really like the integration of Anti-Life and Vandal Savage. I really enjoy him as a villain. He never gives up and always tries to see the silver lining when he gets beat. But the art style and animation really drops off. Maybe it's because the main characters in the first season are very attractive and they are hard to top, but I feel like everyone just got way uglier in later seasons.
Was bloating the caste and time skipping (even though that was season 2 main complaint) really necessary to include more vandal, and darkseid ,granny and the anti-equation?
The only person they needed to introduce for that storyline is either victor stone or violet (forager, geo force and terra were irrelevant to that storyline). Since beast boy was handling the set up for the granny goodness part of that arc and vandal already had a presence.
I think the season 2 time skip was more for the sake of introducing Static and Cassie who are probably my two favorite newcomers, but Cassie couldn't join until Donna did. I think between Season 2 and Season 3, Lex was doing a lot to steal metahumans while also frame them as bad, basically an X-Men ripoff. I suppose timeskips aren't completely necessary, but again, characters move and change as does the status quo. There is some kind of war going on against the Reach that literally no one cares about, Aqualad became the leader of the League, Cheshire left her family to rejoin the Shadows, etc. I'm sure the writers had their reasons, but it wouldn't make sense for all that stuff to happen in just a few days.
I loved the first two seasons and fucking despised the third. Poor voice acting, unlikeable new characters, bad story, making Calder gay for no reason. Wish it stayed dead.
A monkey's paw was used for season 3
I kind of agree, but it’s not like they can’t go back and show certain things using flashbacks. Also Young Justice would need it’s own universe to tell every single story. We would need a Batman show set in the Young Justice universe to show everything about Red Hood because they’re not going to dedicate that many flashbacks to fleshing him out.
Not that user but compared to the Justice League cartoon, Young Justice was just ok and got worse as it went on.
You can't compare anything new to the DCAU, let alone Justice League specifically. It's the perfect series.
Well it could be that it happened slightly different in the YJ universe. Until they actually show it nothing about what happened is confirmed in the timeline.
Red Hood has only been adapted twice and neither of them did it the same way
>making Calder gay
First retard its Kaldur
Second they confirmed years ago he's not straight, and if you knew anything you'd know he isn't gay he's pan
Shut the fuck up retard.
Teen Titans 2003 > Young Justice
>Don't even have an argument
As always
I'm not even the same user.
In fact I dropped this show halfway through episode four when our heroes team up with a known terrorist to aid him in his gangwar.
>I dropped the show because of the classic "enemies team up to stop a bigger threat" trope
At the end of episode when they take care of Kobra they take out Bane too.
Well it was that combined with Kid Flash slipping and falling like a parody.
They didn't have any reason not to tie Bane back up after he revealed that secret entrance.
He immediately betrayed them.
The entire premise is Teen Titans but not fun.
Of all the problems with the show you literally picked the least offensive one to quit the show over.
