The dark knight rises mask ended up becoming more ironic than classic comic bane mask.

Because Bane doesn't have an interesting design. The mask is decent, but outside of that he's just a guy in a wifebeater. While they went way too hard on the tacticool with the Nu52 design, the addition of the sheepskin jacket from TDKR was a fantastic choice.

But that metal spring underpants on the face of a mask was retarded.

I didn't mention the Goatse mask.

yeah but at the same time in the cartoons they never seem to be able to improve his design either.

Frankly if they somehow mixed the classic mask with the metal breather (both TDKR and the telltale batman games did a pretty interesting take) and that outfit with the jacket would be great.

Why draw this while you can draw THIS
