Considering that the animaniacs reboot appears to have been a success (regardless of the quality of writing) do you think there's a possibility of a Freakazoid revival and if so would it be any good? I think the "le epic technology filled world" humor of the modern day would suit freakazoid a lot better than it does in the animaniacs reboot
Considering that the animaniacs reboot appears to have been a success (regardless of the quality of writing) do you...
Freakazoid gets revived but Dan Harmon and various e-celebs are writing the dialogue and plots for each episode.
bad ending
i want to fuck him
If I was asked to work on a reboot it would be a dream, but the most likely scenario is that it's going to fucking blow. A hero with internet powers is more relevant than in the past, but the internet itself is way, way worse and normie humor makes my asshole pucker.
If I had the chance to work on the reboot, I would model dexter douglas after a typical Zig Forums user vs the redditor that they will inevitably make him.
Given that TTG episode, I think it could work. Shame some of the voice actors got so old-sounding, and of course Ricardo Montalban would be impossible to replace so there goes your archenemy character.
Can't see this show working outside the 90s era. You'd have to strip the show of nigh everything it's got going for it just to have it fly in 2020
>Given that TTG episode, I think it could work.
You mean it COULDN'T work given the TTG episode, right?
Nah, because you couldn't really use candleja
Writing in TTG episode was pretty subpar but it wasn't terrible, I honeslty think it could work and it would be alright if written by the right people, although getting the right people in the first place is a challenge in of itself
As long as they give it to the TTG team and the Nu-maniacs team stays as far away from it as possible, yeah
>A hero with internet powers
Chances are there'd be at least one episode full of a ton of cringe-y memes because "Internet powers". Do we really want new Freakazoid episodes in a world where the writers are liable to put Freakazoid alongside Pepes and Wojaks? It'd just feel wrong.
I mean, they were constrained by the fact that it was a TTG episode feat. Freakazoid instead of the other way around. The general tone of the non-TTG characters seemed pretty spot-on in and of themselves. Hell, they got Tom Ruegger's imprimatur on it and that's more than Nu-maniacs ever did.
Freakazoid's actual powers were never really "internet-related" at all, he just acquired them after being sucked into cyberspace because it was the mid-'90s and The Net was a new and mysterious place.
Freakazoid was created when the Internet was new and seemed like magic, so it served as a unique plot device. A modern Freakazoid would be stale
Yes candlejack with be problematic in 2020 becau
honestly, I think one of his powers could be having a janky internal internet browser like bing that fucks stuff up. memes are always changing, but some things everyone deals with, from normies to whatever you guys are.
didn't they make him a faggot in the ttg crossover
Not really, his humor was pretty on point, not that the animation helped
Some jokes would be dropped. Like the fatman part, impossible to do jokes about fatties nowaday
not a terrible loss desu, but the idea of a character like fanboy sperging out about marvel movies would be pretty funny desu
Yeah, we fap to them instead now.
Goddammit, you are supposed to say Candlejacks full name before he abd
sorry, i don't get it, I don't know who candlejack i
holy shit stop saying candlejack's name you dumb ni
And now you just reminded me that we lost Stephen Furst as well.
People in this thread are forgetting that the internet had very little to do with Freakazoid's powers and the show in general after Dexter first transformed. He can travel through cyberspace, yes, but his powers, and insane personality, came from all the collective computing power of the world's computers passing through his brain at once, not from being exposed to the internet culture of the time. Modern internet culture would have as much to do with the new show as it did in the old one, that is to say, barely at all.
I'm glad Candlejack still submits the posts afterwards, even now that he has to solve captcha fir
He's incompetently omnipotent, he doesn't have any specific powers.
Candlejack seems to take longer to pick people up though, probably because of th
Hey Freakazoid, wanna use this app on my phone to see what we'd look like in the Cal-Arts style?
>Hey Freakazoid, wanna use this app on my phone to see what we'd look like as old people?
>DO I?
>Oh no, I look terrible!
>Cosgrove, you forgot to turn the filter on.
>What filter?
Fixed.
Oh by the way, the Lobe is mingling in illegal bitcoin farming shenanigans, you might wanna take care of that.
