Western animation was brutally murdered in the 90s when they started producing physically repulsive garbage like Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and the Ren & Stimpy Show which made TV animation literally unwatchable, and big screen animation was murdered by Pixar unleashing the computer generated animation plague with Toy Story and similar garbage. It's just that most retards who (rightfully) complain about how terrible animation is today grew up watching this trash so they'd never blame it for the downfall of western animation, so instead they have to Zig Forumspost about SJWs and CalArts and other nonsense like that. Oh cartoons were way WAY worse in between 2004-2010. Steven Universe is infinitely more watchable than Squirrel Boy, Camp Lazlo, and all the other shit CN was approving at the time.

Teen Titans Go started not taking anything seriously first, and has lazy-as-fuck animation that's even worse than the flash shit we had in the mid-2000s. It still gets creative, I'll give you that, but it does it for nothing than cranking out a new episode a paycheck and you can tell the people making the thing don't give a single shit about the show. It also sparked all the shitty reboots that tried copying its style.
