Like, she had a few extra pounds, the kind that a 25-year-old could probably get away with because nothing would be sagging yet. There are things mildly overweight women can do to stay attractive; she's doing none of those things.

They probably just drew up caricatures of cartoon architypes first and THEN created their characterizations. Like, Zander and Spanky don't instantly make sense as to what they are just by looking at them (a video game character and a Newgrounds flash animation character); probably because Zander was suppose to be "gay character" and Spanky stated out as "funny animal character". I'm sure Zander probably started out as a He-Man joke first, but then they settled on "video game" to not cross over with Captain Hero too much.

They were a bit too early for that. Like, internet rule 34 existed back then, but it wasn't centralized like it is now.

toot is based on betty boop, who, although skinny, was based off of the flapper girls who were a lot curvier than what we expected of attractive women in the mid 2000s. The joke wasn't really that she was fat, the same way that foxy wasn't really a negative stereotype and was instead the voice of reason in the show. She was supposed to highlight how what was once attractive eventually became considered abhorently disgusting, and kind of swung back, like when she is wearing a dress and they aren't trying to make her look obese, she looks real fuckable

200lbs in a woman is pretty fat, though. In men, 200lbs isn't disgusingly fat unless they're under 5'6''.
