Patreon has started to harass content creators to remove content that violates their ToS without telling them what images and what exactly in them violates it.

They also go back on their word, they used to assure fictional images wouldn't be affected but now fictional, drawn incest and sexual violence is 2bad

It's not very realistic. The reason places like Patreon get draconian is that credit card companies and Paypal retire their support. The solution is simply to stop using those and get an alternative way of payment. SubscribeStar doesn't use Paypal for that very reason, and other sites don't use "currency" directly, like ko-fi.

Even if SubscribeStar fails, we should just keep moving, we shouldn't just let ourselves be censored.

Now the real problem is faggots willing to stay in the damn platform instead of moving or fighting back, either by accommodating their works to Patreon, ie self-censorship or by simply not having to worry because their content is safe. Literally every patreon-alternative site runs into the same problems patreon does. The problem is not, nor has it ever been, patreon. It's the money processing services that they have to use in order to actually accept payments. The big problems are the credit card companies. Blaming places like patreon or subscribestar is shooting the messenger.

I guess you're right, but since the damage has been done with Patreon, the only outlook is to have these sites find better ways to have money not be cockblocked by these credit card companies when it shouldn't be in their control how people get money if it's clearly not illegal.

There's a patreon alternative called Sponsus that I've been following. It literally started with the ethos of like "patreon is banning people like porn artists and right-wing podcasters because they're evil censors, MY website won't do that!"
And then once they actually got to the stage where they needed to work with credit card companies to be able to accept charges they quickly realized that, oh shit, I'm going to have to do that too.

Most people went to Patreon for loli artists, but now that site has woke mode activated, many artists cant post nor share there, and yes, they do spy what you do on other sites.
