Theater experiences you'll never forget

Everyone in the theater cheered when Farquaad got eaten by the dragon.

The Dark Knight opening night.
>>Surrounded by my friends and other people I knew.
>>Audience went nuts during pencil trick, Gordon revealed to be alive, truck flip, "I know how you got these ones"
The theater was electric and I LOVED it.

Not a Zig Forums related thing, more for Zig Forums but when Legolas ran up them falling bricks in the Hobbit everyone in the cinema let out a big sigh.

The entire theater of kids crying when Spongebob and Patrick died in the movie, myself included

>not making an aurora joke
Missed opportunity, user

The Deus Ex Machina reveal in Promare.

i know it's Zig Forums and not Zig Forums but whatever.

This scene made me detest all vorefags forever.

>You come up with a super witty thing to say to the theater
>Try and say it, realize you didn't say it loud enough, but if you say it again the people around you who DID hear you will just get annoyed
>You stay quiet the rest of the movie

H-haha ha.

My mom and the entire audience cried during Toy Story.

I also remembered that me and my girlfriend were watching JoJo Rabbit and for some reason people just gave it a standing ovation at the end of the film (this was a normal movie theater by the way, not some festival); it was very awkward, we just looked at each other in confusion and kinda clapped (sitting down of course) just to not feel left out. It was one of the strangest things I've ever seen.

I'm sure people in every theater went nuts when this happened.

I wonder why, it was implied to be possible earlier.

Positive:
>Watching Monsters Inc with my extended family in theaters, we laughed so hard
>Watching Spiderverse in a big ass theater (same for multiple movies really, but that one's Zig Forums)
>Not Zig Forums, but the collective groan at the ending of Inception

Negative
>The chucklefuck who paid extra to see Dark Knight Rises in Imax with his mom at a prime time showing to laugh ironically obnxiously at it. Five bucks says he's probably a Zig Forums poster
Like I get that it wasn't great, but who fucking does that? At least go see it at a cheap theater at like a matinee showing if that's the whole reason you are going jackass
>Watching WALL-E with a little girl who kept asking questions kinda loudly right behind me to her mom about what was going on, mom doing nothing to try to make her stop. And then she stopped just as the story leaves earth, aka the end of the best part
>A few months later see it again in another theater and the EXACT SAME FUCKING THING HAPPENED AGAIN, RIGHT BEHIND ME
>Watching Fury Road in a big sold out theater with at least 100 seats, but it just so happens the couple that decided to bring their baby are sitting literally right next to me. And when the baby wakes up at the end of the movie, instead of taking her outside, they just took out their phone and started playing cartoons (with volume on) for her.
At least she stayed asleep until like the last 15 minutes but fuck those parents

Yeah.
Infinity War was the better movie, but I'll be damned if I wasn't grinning at a ton of shit throughout Endgame.

I cheered
with a boner

Entire theatre lost their minds and cheered when Thor returned during the battle in Wakanda

>thought i was alone
>farted
>from the darkness somebody farted back
i waited until way after the credits to leave because i was afraid i would run into the other person.

people near me cried when rdj died in endgame.

for OP: I never heard Hulk's "puny god" line until rewatching Avengers years later on cable because of how loud the theater cheered/laughed when he slammed loki around

i diagnose you with autism for thinking the whole theatre wants to hear your commentary while they are watching a movie. if the people who heard it weren't laughing then it wasn't that good.

Everyone in the theater laughed when Thor said "I aimed for the head" after killing Farmer Thanos

Jojo rabbit is the 2nd movie I have ever cried at, and the only one as an adult. It's not even the saddest movie I've seen but when his mom died I started thinking about my own mom dying.

>My friend and I are watching Venom in theaters
>a ten year old kid I think was talking for a minute or two during the scene with the main villain in that building?
>some fat dude who has a reddit beard screams “shut the fuck up” like he has to study the film for film class

I may have teared up slightly during the funeral scene. Got caught up in the crowd emotion.

That's part of why I don't want theaters to die. Theaters can be a crapshoot, but when you get a good audience, it feels like all your emotions are amplified. Sorta like a comedy is funnier when other people are laughing with you.

A black lady in the audience whooped at this moment and it was really funny. It's the only part of the movie I remember now.

I understand his frustration, but that's definitely a pretty bad way to react to a 10 year old.

Fuck, I'm reminded of when I saw annihilation with my dad. We were sat down and chilling and in comes like 5 kids who couldn't be older than 13 who all sit in the row in front of us while their dads sit a few rows behind us.

Who would take their fucking kids to annihilation? Aside from being really R rated, it would probably bore the hell out of them. And it did, they were chatting with each other the whole time.

Watched this in theaters with a bunch of other grown fans. We went wild at the climax, but I'll never forget the gasps and whispers.

>Go see TDKR with a friend's normalfag friend
>At like the fifth Harvey Dent scene he nudges me and says "yo, that nigga's Two-Face"

I opened a bag of chips during Infinity War and got shushed and it ruined the whole movie for me.

iron man's death in that movie didn't feel earned at all. His character was so wishy washy for the whole series.

Oldfag here, Jurassic Park when the raptor burst through the pipes and the entire theater screamed. That and the kitchen scene nobody said a peep but you could feel the tension in the air.

I've seen a lot of horror movies before and after but I've never heard so many grown adults scream at a movie since.

The deafening silence after THAT scene

Everybody was completely silent for about 5 minutes after it happened. Never experienced anything like it.

Do you mean The Dark Knight
