Yes, another Animaniacs thread

Since the reboot came out and looks completely unappealing, I decided to watch the original Animaniacs since I have never seen it proper besides bits of it on reruns. I have watched 25 episodes so far and my favorite part of it has to be the relationship between the Warners and Scratchansniff. It's just so funny and pure. Taming of The Screwey and La La Law are my favorite segments so far. Ranking each character segment I have seen thus far goes like this.

To anyone coming to blow this thread up with reboot arguments or random Zig Forums bullshit because I said the reboot looks unappealing, I never gave my reasons for thinking that nor did I say you had to think like that. It's literally only cited as a reason for me to want to watch the original. I just came to share my thoughts on something I haven't really seen.

The slapstick gets better as you progress and it's genuinely great when he actually gets recognition

I really hated the hippos such a waste of run time.

I liked the last one I seen ending, but there has only been a few so far. I'm only a 4th into the show so I'm certain this list will change as I progress.

I'm honestly completely confused on what their purpose is. I literally don't know what jokes or theme there is in their segments. The only reason they're higher than Rita and Runt is because there is so much nothingness that time flies by.

agree, they and Katie were the worst part (I don't understand why reboot writers make Chicken Boo the Scrappy, is totally wrong).

The jokes are supposed to be with the conservationist trying to keep them safe and them just being impervious to all damage and stuff, other than that I think they are like an old couple with a mid-life crisis who want to "experience trendy stuff" or something.

I dont understand this hate for Rita and Runt, they were cute.

I am not even going to watch the reboot, the fact that they added buzzwords like "mansplaining" tells me enough about the way they walk on egg shells.

I have to admit buttons and Mindy original slapstick was the random kind, it's only until later that they refine the timing and setting better to get the best jokes, seriously in the later ones buttons and Mindy become the animation flexing parts of the show

The humor is lacking, the titular characters don't interest me, and their segments drag. I'd probably be willing to put them up with Mime Time and Randy Beaman if their segments were shorter.

Musicals aren't for everyone in the first place.

Perhaps user is mad at the non stop animaniacs threads, particularly low quality ones, and suspects there's shillery affoot.

The shows are basicly the same but I really like the original so much more for whatever reason.

Sure, but that doesn't mean we need to drop our thread quality below our ankles. Yesterday's thread had 150 posts bitching about the electoral college. The just deleted one was more about corona virus, demanding anons' medical bonafides, and also threatening to murder political opposition from more than one direction. This thread actually has a decent concept, but nobody's actually discussing the show yet.

There are people though discussing the show here.

I already really like Goodfeathers so I don't know how much better it could get. Also, I vaguely recall from some reruns Buttons and Mindy just getting really fucking weird like an atlantis one and I think a superhero one.
