How do we save this game? I so want it to be better. It’s an Avengers game when the MCU is at its all-time high. It shouldn’t be selling this bad.

>It shouldn’t be selling this bad.
It wouldn't be selling so badly if it was a better game.

Go back in time and give it to a publisher who didn't already fuck up Deus Ex, FFXIII and XV, Tomb Raider, and drop support for Hitman

By adding fucking content and having skins that don't look like complete ass. Oh wow, I can't wait to play Kate Bishop after 3 daman month of repetitive nothing, then wait a few more months for Hawkeye

>tells investors
That's just typical Hollywood accounting, then. You tell the investors you still haven't made back the development costs so you don't have to fork out what the investors are owed. I think it's Forrest Gump that the production company still proclaims to not have turned a net profit, to get out of paying the people who should have gotten a slice of the pie.

>How do we save this game?
Once Carol releases it'll make tons of money, don't worry

Does anyone Recommend this game? Is the single player at least a good Avengers story?

it's amazing a many media projects don't understanding budgeting at all

Yes, the single player is great

I submit the idea that this is more the fault of Square and their inability to actually make good games and haven't made a good game in decades. The fact it's marvel or has whatever characters in it means nothing. The game itself is just fucking bad cuz SE sucks.

Thanks I’ll buy it right now then.

Single player isn't bad, but I wish it had more going on for it.

The single player is amazing with a great story. It’s better than any of the Batman games.

I wouldn't go that far.

i think a lot of the blame goes to disney. they bought marvel and star wars which should be huge video game money making machines and somehow have gotten the bare minimum out of both.

The story is boring and it feels like just the first arc of a comic, the gameplay can be fun, if not a little repetitive, and you only fight like 3 actual supervillains, the rest are robots
>The single player is amazing with a great story. It’s better than any of the Batman games.
How much are they paying you?

Wait until there's more content

It's on sale now though

>How do we save this game?
I don't give a fuck about the Avengers or loot shooters, so we don't.
>I so want it to be better.
Insufferable Square-Enix fanboy or insufferable Avengers fanboy?
>It’s an Avengers game when the MCU is at its all-time high.
It’s an Avengers game when the MCU is past it's all-time high peak and probably won't ever hit the same heights unless Marvel goes all in on the X-Men and Fantastic Four
>It shouldn’t be selling this bad.
Square-Enix still doesn't understand the western market but won't stop micromanaging Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. Remember how good Human Revolution was before Square-Enix stepped in to micro manage and kill Mankind Divided and any hopes of finishing the trilogy? Remember Tomb Raider after the reboot?

This game didn't stand a chance, especially when you see how hard Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite failed. The Marvel brand is a death wish for video games now unless it's Spider-Man (Sony AAA funding) or Ultimate Aliance 3 (I don't know how this miracle happened).

>It’s an Avengers game when the MCU is at its all-time high
And it does nothing to capitalize on that. I get not wanting to waste money on Hollywood actors (although somehow they managed to do that for that PS3 Captain America game?), but nothing about this game would attract a casual MCU viewer. And I don't know how they managed to make the character designs so bland. They didn't even use the most popular comic book likenesses?

Buy it cheap now if you want, then shelve it when there's fucking content

One could only wonder why

What content? A new fighter and that’s it?

I bought the game when it came out, but never found time for it. With everything else that came out after that I doubt I will now, though I might make an exception if they ever do release the Winter Soldier DLC.

Hope you like Kamala. The Avengers all take a backseat to her.

they cancelled deus ex for this so no I want avengers to crash and burn.

I'm personally waiting till it's around $20 or on Game Pass. I want to try it admittedly, but I'm not paying $60 for what people are making it sound like an afternoon of content.

IIRC it sold millions of copies but the costs are so high that it meant nothing and that's why the game is a Destiny clone. The only way it makes its money back is if it makes hundreds of millions in dollars in microtransactions.

The Avengers are over. Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite and this game kinda cemented that fact.

yes.
The reason avengers didn't sell: It didn't use the likenesses of the mcu actors. Most of the mcu fans were normies who only know tony stark as rdj and never read the comics. If the game Tony doesn't have Downy Jr's likeness they ain't sticking around

They cancelled Deus Ex because Mankind Divided flopped. Every person who brings up Deus Ex like this should stub their

>The only way it makes its money back is if it makes hundreds of millions in dollars in microtransactions
Now if only they actually released something they could sell. I don't play Fortnite myself, but from what I've seen they release new content on a weekly basis to keep themselves afloat and it seems to work? Avengers is just now offering its first new character, three months after release.

I could believe it if we're ranking it on story. I loved the Batman games but except for Asylum and the one that takes place at Christmas that everyone hates the stories actually sucked ass. The gameplay was just so good that it made up for the story. So Avengers wouldn't need much of a story to outpace something like Arkham City's story.

The Avengers is not a strong IP on it's own. It can't carry a shitty game. Nintendo understood this and it's why they insisted on the X-Men being in MUA3, and it's also why MUA3 didn't bomb like Avengers did.

Or the game was a broken mess at launch. It’s also a grind game.

*toes and hop around on one foot for entirety as they rue their stupidity

you can't, it's dead

that was entirely their fault for rushing the game out, not anyone else's

Mankind Divided didn't fucking flop, it just didn't sell as fast as HR did, and a big part of that is because of the negative press SE gave the game, and then people found out it didn't have an ending which was also an SE decision. SE fucking sabotaged that game.

Eh, I wasn't really impressed with the Avengers game's story. I might be willing to admit that Sony's Spider-Man had a better-paced story than any of the Batman games, but not Avengers.

casuals don't seem to care about grinding. So many games do it because noone questions it while they buy pay2win xp boosters

You have to pick two

they don't care when the base game is free. Avengers had the gall to charge $60 for the privilege of playing their F2P Korean live service game.

>Marvel vs Capcom
>Capcom on the left and Marvel on the right
>Not Capcom vs Marvel

Whatever, Strange and Tony

>Avengers game is announced
>get excited about playing as Captain America
>story trailer reveals that Captain America is dead
Oh well.
