I can’t believe i missed the anniversary of my favorite disney movie. I’m such a faggot
Captain Amelia is very good
Disney isn't seriously considering making a live-action version of Treasure Planet, right? It's all just hearsay and rumors, yeah?
Damn, I went to see this twice while it was running in theaters.

This in particular sounded great in surround sound.
You guys got any nice memories from back then?
I was playing Subnautica okay.
Indubitably.

I wish. I saw Treasure Planet on DVD, not in theaters. Did you find it odd that you were watching what should've been a summer film around winter-time?
i did not know they uploaded the OST.
thank you user.
I adore that clip of when she catches the map and her eyes expand
A space cat is still a cat.
This is one of the last movies I own on VHS. My dad was going on a business trip to the US and asked what I wanted for a gift, and I asked for that because I'd seen a commercial for it and thought it looked rad. Spoiler alert: It was.
Somewhat ironically, it was also one of the few VHS tapes I ever owned where the tape was flawed right out of the box.
This webm is probably my favorite webm of animation.
>VHS
I can't believe they were still making VHS tapes in the early 2000s. Good on you for holding on to it.
Not really.
I didn't even think about movies as summer or winter movies, they just came out when they came out and that was always a big deal at the time.
Heck, those really were some good old days, we got lotr, star wars, pirates of the caribbean (the good ones) and Shrek was still the only movie in that series.
Damn, I just got lost on the memory lane thinking back on the movies I went to see with my aunt back in those days, got a pretty neat memory from back when we went to watch "Help Im a fish!", besides us there were only three others watching that movie.
Not because it was shit but because we went to see it during the last week it was still on.
On the other hand I also remember that winter when me and my mom went to watch the first harry potter movie.
Never saw that theater that packed and the ticket guy had to tell us to squeeze in a bit tighter so folks didn't have to walk over each others feet just to get a seat.
Damn I feel old.
Man I love colonial naval uniforms. They command such respect and their colors pop so much.
Why didn't you make one yesterday
You underestimate the Mouse's hunger for shekels.
Oh yeah, I've got all my old tapes and a huge CRT TV up in my room.
The last tape my family bought was Home on the Range. I didn't really want it but it was the only one in the store that remotely interested me.
Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of stuffy uniforms, but Amelia certainly wears it well.
Had I remembered that the anniversary was yesterday, I would have. Better late than never, no?
If a live-action remake of Treasure Planet *is* going to happen, then I am neither physically nor mentally prepared for the nightmare fuel that will be CGI Amelia. They will do her so dirty.
this was right before Netflix, it was only maybe 10 years ago that blockbuster and other video stores were pretty much popular. We had like 3 video tape stores just in my neighborhood. Makes sense they still made tapes when it was still the most popular method of video rental. DVDs then took over a few years later and then streaming digitally
Think I, a literal who, with no acting experience, could get the role of Jim if they do?
TP is actually one of my favorite movies, I mostly match his description, and along with real life no daddy issues, I think I could play him pretty well with some practice.
I might actually go for it if it becomes a real thing.

Last good Disney film before their 2003-2007 slump. They started to recover with Meet the Robinsons
