Was The Lion Guard as bad of a show as people made it out to be?
Was The Lion Guard as bad of a show as people made it out to be?
It's pretty decent as far as Disney Jr goes, but it's still pretty Disney Junior.
I guess it depends on your taste for cartoons with a mandatory musical number every episode.
I think there's a point where shows become too out of an age range, and I think Disney Jr. is that.
there is furry that work on the show animator, he use to draw gay femdoy horse
It’s a cartoon aimed at young children, what else did you expect?
It's straight up garbage, they managed to fuck up the canon, introduced unlikeable characters, made up a concept that simply makes no sense to not show up in the movie, changed the characters personalities and is simply bad in any measure other than songs that feel pretty forced most of the time.
this pussy is making me feel things
post moar
Bad? It's a show for toddlers. And not even the kind that'd full of jokes for their parents like that Dog thing Zig Forums likes.
Only reason anyone on Zig Forums would like it other than having young brothers/cousins/children is because they're desperate furries.
That animation is pretty sick for tween shit.
Supposedly the trick they use to help make it look more smooth is they animate the entire thing out in 3D and then just trace over it.
Someone post the fart scene
Disney must have thousands of pages of lion movement references from Lion King because both Lion Guard and Lion King 2 had this uncanny thing going where all the key movements looked "right" even if the animation/smoothness has a wonky, low-budget thing going on.
(It's totally normal to want to cuddle with Nala though.)
It is neat how they decided to actually explain "wait, where are these original characters during Lion King 2?"
>Simba's a racist
>Has a necromancer son
>Timon and Pumba raise a honeybadger who defiles Hakuna Matata.
wait necromancer? How
He summons the dead to roar with him.
He doesn’t raise the dead but he can commune with their spirits and allow others to as well.
He’s also tricked into freeing Scar’s ghost from hell
No, it was the fandom.
I can't imagine anyone just saw Lion King when they were younger, liked it, and decided just to check out what this new preschool cartoon thing was for the franchise. It's all just furfaggotry now. It's very black and white.
Remember that a character gets bit and bleeds in this show, giving it more balls than half of Cartoon Network's lineup. But it happens while the character is engulfed in a massive fart cloud.
Such was the bizarre dichotomy that made up this show. It never knew what it wanted to be.
It can be weirdly edgy but only because it’s ostensibly supposed to be for preschoolers
I feel the truth of it is that it was meant to be preschool. They wanted it to be their Paw Patrol. It had tons of merch during season one and was on every diaper in the isle just about. But the merch didn't sell. In season one characters couldn't use their teeth and claws, and only fought by tackling one another. There was also no real continuity in season one.
By the time season two hit, the merch dried up because they knew it was a bust. But the show was still an important legacy title so they focused less on preschool stuff and just tried to make a better show.
Anywhere I can watch this trash for free?
There used to be a backdoor that was up for years but Disney finally shut it down.
Easy come easy go.
For the age range it's designed for, it's good. They could have got away with a much less polished animation style, but still made it look fairly good, and the stories are more or less exactly what you'd suspect, with the occasional wrinkle like daemon Scar adding some neat bits.
Is it an objectively good show? No. The song-per-episode schtick wears out fast, and you could tell the writers just quit outside of the showcase episodes. But that's looking at it from an adult's perspective.
This show is meant for kids. Small ones.
ya gotta hand it to them, they know how to draw sexy animals
>Kion bottoms
My girlfriend loved this show for a brief period and made me watch a bit, thank god she got over it quickly. Unless I'm watching it with an actual child, I gain no pleasure in watching shows made for toddlers
I have no idea what it is with women and their autistic love of stuff like this and wolves and crap.
