Why do nerdy young heroes now need a serious rich mentor? Especially when, in the comics, these heroes were independent?

For self insert nerds who want to have sugar daddy
That’s the one thing the CWverse actually got right
The (two) nerd(s) with powers show up the serious rich guy with no powers.
Who the fuck said Erza Flash was under Batffleck's mentorship?
OP I'll shit on these movies all you want, just don't make stupid OP topics
Yes Zaddy fanboy
What?
One of them is a girl and attractive women can’t be nerdy and smart irl so plothole
has a point, it's nowhere near as bad in the DCEU. As a Spider-fag, it's cancer AIDS in the MCU and arguably the worst possible, point missing-est direction they could have taken with him.
CW sucks too. Every hero has to have a mission control room now. Barry Allen never needed like 8 other people to be the Flash
Because comics and shows are not the same thing, how come Earth 3 isn’t exactly like Earth Prime? How come 616 is so different from Ultimate? Because they are different adaptations of the source material
I'd like to point out that "its an adaptation/elseworlds" is not a magical good excuse for shitty creative decisions
I never said it was a good excuse, I’m simply telling you why it is the way it is
dudes with poor relationships and good relationships with their dads like them for different reasons, also gives them an easy out to have characters interact and have 2-for-1 scenes
No I'll tell you why its the way it is; its studio executives looking at demographic charts and trends to see what yields the most profit. It's not rocket science
Supergirl does since she’s a woman
I actually don’t mind it when it’s just one or two people in live-action because it gives an excuse for narration.
Not him but everyone already knows that. However,
>Synergy exists and shits things up thanks a million, Insomniac
>Movies are the main exposure that the current generation has to these characters, so they think the characters are a lot different than they "really" are.
>They're just generally shitty. The MCU Spidey movies really are Disney channel core.
I don’t like female superheroes. Comics and superheroes are not for women
Don't blame Insomniac, blame SONY. Plus the likely result of that face change was the original actor asking for more money since the game sold so well. And besides, it's frankly the lesser of two evils. Peter in that game still has the same voice, and is still the vastly superior adaptation than that Iron Boy MCU crap. I can deal with the face model change if Insomniac stays the course, and since Peter is still masked most of the time anyway

Who cares about the Sony game? Honestly, the parts with Peter out of the mask are very skipable and pretty boring. This seems like complaining about a storm in a teacup
If you aren't on board with the stuff about Peter's personal life then it's hard to say you're on board with the Spider-Man IP and brand in general, frankly. That's not even to mention the big gut-punch scenes towards the end of the game.
It associates the new actor to the older and more recognised actor, so that you stay interested in the franchise. That's all.
Propaganda.
Bruce didn't feel like a mentor to Barry, he just recruited him
>Peter looks up to a guy whos weapons and actions still get people killed 24/7
>the same guy who created half the villains in the MCU
>a guy with daddy issues who was jealous of some meek lab experiment who got lucky
This is why besides the quips and bad CGI I cannot take these characters seriously.
Didn't Peter Parker end up having to fight a bunch of the rich scientists he looked up to?
can't take characters in tights fighting aliens and making jokes seriously.....................
Its a conspiracy by the elites so convince the populous that rich people are wise and have their best interest at heart.
Surrogate father figures. Most American kids are raised in households fatherless. In real life, the only men who take on the role of surrogate father, or big brother are married men who've already raised their kids.
this but unironically
