Hilda

Welp, considering S2 is in another two weeks or so, let’s try to have ourselves a comfy thread to speculate and see how the next season compares to the first one.
>What do you think of the show and how were you introduced to it?
>Favorite characters and creatures?
>Favorite episodes and scenes?
>What are your overall expectations for season two?
>What are your expectations for some of the new characters like Bellkeeper or Erik Alhberg?
>What do you think of the graphic novels and the novelizations of the Netflix show?

I want to protect Hilda from nasty koreans

(sorry for a quite common pic rel, don't have many more yet)
imo it was slightly more kek than a simple "bump"

>What do you think of the show
I'm on E07 and so far it's still comfy. You could screenshot almost any moment and get a neat wallpaper. The color palette is so nice. Characters are fun and memorizable too. Somehow the show is less childish than I expected - that's good.
Music is "weird" at times, but usually it's the "alright, I can see why they went with it" kind of weird. Also, the "chapter title" piece reminds me of some other show, but I can exactly remember which one. I like it a lot. I wish the theme song was a bit more "catchy", I think? Like the credits.
>how were you introduced to it?
These threads.
>Favorite characters and creatures?
Aside from the main cast, obviously, I think I like the wooden guy a lot (but don't recall his name yet). Hopefully there's more of him coming. Also, Big Raven was dumb-funny - hope he comes back too.
>Favorite episodes and scenes?
So far the scene that felt most "special" was when Johanna accidentally stepped into an elf house after the giant crushed her home. It was that "ohhhh" kind of thing.
There was also some "darker" scene, I think? I don't remember what exactly, but it reminded me of Gravity Falls.
>What are your overall expectations for season two?
More of comfy adventures, perhaps more character development? I mean, shit, they're so likeable.
>What are your expectations for some of the new characters like Bellkeeper or Erik Alhberg?
ahhhhh, spoilers!
>What do you think of the graphic novels and the novelizations of the Netflix show?
No stance, I don't read these.

Moreover, some Hilda memes people post here are golden.

Have some troll hilda

>What do you think of the show and how were you introduced to it?
The show quickly became on of my favorite cartoons, the animation quality, visuals and characters really hooked me in; I was introduced to it back in 2018 while browsing Netflix while bored, I found Hilda in the "Netflix Originals" section, I watched the trailer and I watched the show.
>Favorite characters and creatures?
In characters I would put Hilda, Johanna and Alfur, Hilda and Alfur are so adorable while in a scene and the relationship with Johanna and Hilda is very heartwarming (can't wait to see it being tarnished); My favorite creatures have to be the elves and the marras, the marras are pretty amazing and the elves are very cute.
>Favorite episodes and scenes?
I like to put the first two episodes as my favorites, the perfect way to introduce someone to Hilda's world. In scenes... that's a bit though for me, there's a lot of amazing scenes in the show like Hilda meeting Alfur, the dream Hilda had in the nightmare spirit episode and a lot more.
>What are your overall expectations for season two
I am honestly quite nervous yet excited. From what we have seen we could say that this season is definitely going to be better than the first one, the new characters and stuff really have me interested and I cannot wait to see how they play out.
>What are your expectations for some of the new characters like Bellkeeper or Erik Alhberg?
I try to keep my expectations on check since I don't want to generate unrealistic expectations, but all I hope is that they are as good (or maybe even better) than the cast we have at the moment.
>What do you think of the graphic novels and the novelizations of the Netflix show?
I haven't read the graphic novels but I have read the tie in books, it honestly brings me pain seeing Hilda suffering in school like that, and Johanna's relationship being really intense

>What do you think of the show and how were you introduced to it?
Love it.
Saw promo pics awhile before it came out and thought it looked cute.

>Favorite characters and creatures?
Hilda. David. Woodman. Water spirits. Nisse.

>Favorite episodes and scenes?
Not really sure. I have episodes I don't care too much for parts of but ultimately I enjoy many. Scenes of Hilda being Hilda are nice.

>What are your overall expectations for season two?
Hopefully more coziness. David gaining a lil more backbone.

>What are your expectations for some of the new characters like Bellkeeper or Erik Alhberg?
I hope Eric is a good person who just lacks Hilda's point of view at first and that the bellkeeper befriends Mum.

>What do you think of the graphic novels and the novelizations of the Netflix show?
Love the graphic novels. Midnight giant was my favorite visually. Haven't read tie-ins.

Sorry to break your heart, user. I started lurking these threads just recently.

>What do you think of the show
Epic
>how were you introduced to it?
Back in the days when Tumblr wasn't such a piece of shit
>Favorite characters and creatures?
The main kids and main creatures.
>Favorite episodes and scenes?
I'd say 9 and 11 and probably the scenes when Woodman just fuck around with Hilda are my favorites.
>What are your overall expectations for season two?
Shit, with a show being handled by a sadistic nigga like Luke? I'm quite certain we'd have more adventures, less wholesomeness and probably a lot of sufferings, like he demonstrated in The Mountain King
>What are your expectations for some of the new characters like Bellkeeper or Erik Alhberg?
I think Bellkeeper would be the kids' adult guardians in adventures, or just kind of an opposing character until the kids said something that made sense and made him snapped. Erik is a bit spoiler though so i won't talk about him.
>What do you think of the graphic novels and the novelizations of the Netflix show?
This nigga Luke is sadistic as fuck. Graphic novels are cruel, novelizations are literally hell, considering Hilda went through so much disgusting shits in novels, things like covering herself in troll's saliva, or cutting / burning herself.

>or cutting / burning herself.

>What do you think of the show and how were you introduced to it?
Don't remember how I found out about it, but 99% chance it was through Zig Forums. Anyways, I thought it was really great. For lack of a better word, the whole setting is really comfy, despite all the dangers lurking about. Nice animation and visuals too, and I liked most of the characters. The episode quality was pretty consistent, even if they occasionally came off as "monster-of-the-day" type of episodes.
>Favorite characters and creatures?
Hilda, of course. Johanna too, and I'd like to see more of the librarian in Season 2. David and Frida work well as Hilda's friends too. For creatures, the Great Raven's pretty entertaining, and the marras have a nice level of creepiness.
>Favorite episodes and scenes?
I'd say the two-parter to start the season was a great way to introduce people to Hilda and the world she lives in. For one-offs, I liked "The Nightmare Spirit". There were a lot of good scenes to choose from, so I can't think right of a favourite right now.
>What are your overall expectations for season two?
I wouldn't be surprised if some episodes get a little bit darker and sadder than Season 1, but I hope we still keep things relatively comfy and happy. And maybe a bit more development for characters like the librarian.
>What are your expectations for some of the new characters like Bellkeeper or Erik Alhberg?
I don't know who they are, but I hope they fit in nicely.
>What do you think of the graphic novels and the novelizations of the Netflix show?
Never read them, but the show makes me want to.

Shit, son, I need to get my hands on these. Did Luke really write these or is this by a ghost writer?

>Did Luke really write these
Nigga go check it out for yourself. It's actually in the fucking novels.

Attached: HildaNoSlep.png (350x263, 188.92K)

These aren't written by Luke at all or ghost written they are adaptions of the show filled out by Stephen Davies

Adding. I really don't know why that other user keeps implying Luke wrote the novels. They are completely written by Stephen and whatever input Luke had with them was the input he put into the episodes the books are based on.

But Luke approved the novels, so it's still counted as him agreeing with this mess.

Doesn't make em canon to the currently running show he directly works on given the novels change interactions and characters we've seen in the show. Like Trevor pushing Raven over the bridge on purpose and the like. They're fun but not anything to cite.

Ouch. While I'd be alright with the show getting mildly "darker", this seems just too sad.

I see you're using the scans I shared the last thread. Glad you liked them.

>burning herself
That's literally what happened on mountain king tho.

I wish the librarian will get more coverage in S2

Oh believe me user, she'll have a lot more scren time.

Does not she get her own episode in S2?
