Rough cut is shit. Admittedly the version I saw had no score (or recycled from the show / other movies), unfinished effects after the first 2 episodes and no sound remixing. But it is shaping up to be absolute shit. First off, starts up AFTER the 100 year war. The entire series is a flashback. So much for any suspense as far as what will happen. Ton of unnecessary extra dialogue and sub plots. For example, you know how Aang's time pre-avatar was like... 5 minutes total through the whole series? Yeah it's the entire 3rd episode (which is a flashback inside a flashback). My guess is they built the set and damn if they weren't going to get their money out of it. Aang's actor NOTICEABLY gets older through the season. In the first episode he's still young but he grew like a foot by the end (check him with Katara, 1st episode she is a bit taller, by the end he is looking down at her). This may be my inner Zig Forums coming out but there was a TON of gay and interracial couples. The monks in e3 especially. Gyatso was gay. Mira was a lesbian. They had a black air monk in the tribunal scene. The BG had a ton of monks walking hand-in-hand. Same thing with smellerbee being a tranny. Every stinking episode had their standout left wing shit. Trailer should be released around Christmas. Sorry.
Aang's BF from his pre-avatar days. They're not romantic though since it's made obvious as shit that she's a lesbian... which of course Aang is totally cool with.

>classic series that is cursed to never get a good work outside its original run Is Avatar the Watchmen of cartoons?
Andrew Rodriguez
You're on an anonymous board. Anyone can say they work for anyone, or that they saw anything.

>interracial couples
there is only one race in asia silly user; yellow.
Isaiah Nelson
Who have they casted user.
Tyler Brown
Why would you sperg about a flashback narrative device?
Jaxon Martinez
Because it's only 8 episodes and one of them is a flashback.
Nobody I recognize. But then again I'm not up to date on the current crop of teen stars. Cast does look the part though. I'm pretty sure Katara was played by a Mexican though. She didn't have an accent or anything but she didn't look innuit. She looked Mexican. Did have dark skin though.
Ian Brooks
not op but; sounds to me like the show is trying to hard to adult up and pad for time.
Aiden Robinson
does it end in the northern water tribe or is it not even the full scope of season one.
how long are episodes.
Caleb Long
>Because it's only 8 episodes and one of them is a flashback.
And?
Luke Hernandez
They actually screw around quite a bit. They do the whole northern water tribe thing, but it was in episode 6. Then they go back to the second place and there's some spirit world nonsense and then the last episode sets up Sozin's comet returning.
>Ton of unnecessary extra dialogue and sub plots. >For example, you know how Aang's time pre-avatar was like... 5 minutes total through the whole series? Yeah it's the entire 3rd episode (which is a flashback inside a flashback). Sounds exactly like what they did to the Witcher has a point though
Brayden Ortiz
I mean this is Netflix we're talking about, this is not that far off from the reality.
>Sounds exactly like what they did to the Witcher Never played the games or read the books, here. So, it wasn't supposed to suck and the show was supposed to be about the title character? Specially the final episode?
Zachary Bell
>implying anyone believes you >implying ANYONE here had any hopes for this in the first place.
