KH is still a niche series in greater scheme of things that shit like Family Guy really would not give a shit about it, hell even Disney only barely gives a shit about it.
KH sold about 5mi copies, pretty given it's a JRPG and that don't typically sell that well, now compare that to Star Wars Fallen Order which sold twice that number, and Battlefront which sold an "underperforming" 9 million copies and still fucking made EA/Disney Billions
Disney has no fucking reason to care about KH but does anyway because money is still money, especially when you have to do any actual effort besides loan your characters and have their dicks sucked
