Morals in cartoons you hate

>moral is to be an ungrateful little shit about the amazing life you were given and abandon all of that wonder and magic to live a boring worthless life among ordinary humans
What a terrible ending, i hate being human, i wanted off this planet all my life. The entire human race should be subjugated by aliens or annihilated by nukes, not celebrated

Let the kid move on with his life and sleep with truckers

No i wont, fuck steven and his shitty world view. Humanity sucks

The entire point of Steven Universe was to celebrate life on Earth. The Gem Empire is a sad, lonely place. Pink Diamond and everyone who followed her gave up everything they had to fight for that "boring worthless life." Pink literally killed herself because she'd rather be reincarnated as a human. That's why we get townie episodes throughout the entire show, because you're not supposed to get bogged down in le epic escapist fantasy adventure. It was inevitable that the show would end with Steven finding some kind of human life.

Human Exceptionalism.

That is the biggest problem with SU. Not the pascifism, as annoying as that is for someone who doesn't do that, it's that it assumes we're special in a universe with other sentient life.

>That's why we get townie episodes throughout the entire show, because you're not supposed to get bogged down in le epic escapist fantasy adventure.
And thats why it sucks, fuck townie episodes the gems were the only cool part of the show

It’s pretty great. It’s in the top 10 in my Earth organisms list

Humanity is nothing but a collection of boring looking inbred hicks and sleazy uneducated ghetto trash. The entire species deserves extinction

The Gem parts are what got me interested in the show in first place. Some of the townie episodes were ok but I preferred when the Gems were the episodes focus. If I wanted to watch something that was slice of life there are other shows that do that.

Your criticism is worthless if it is just personal preference. "I hate it therefore its bad" wow what an insightful take

Humanity is objectively terrible and SU was awful for focusing more on it then the cool aliens it introduced

For what it's worth, I agree that they didn't really do this well. The human exceptionalism/worth of Earth made sense as a theme in the first two seasons when the show was more episodic and had prettier art. After Peridot sings "Peace and Love on Planet Earth" though, the show kind of loses focus and becomes much more concerned with Steven's personal identity struggles. Which in turn leaves the townies behind in the plot, which makes the episodes they do have feel boring and out of place, which undermines the original idea that the human lives are what's actually being valued/fought for.

Basically, the show shoulda stuck to "aliens learn Earth is beautiful and fight to protect it" and not awkwardly transitioned into "my space aunts don't respect my pronouns"

That is literally the point of the story. Cool aliens liking human things

Appending "objective" where it does not apply is a good way to make a fool of yourself

Then they shouldve stuck with the cool aliens learning human culture rather then steven hanging out with some boring humans that the crewmembers made up as OCs
But it does apply here

Fool!

Faggot

Fagguette

Even that, some of the implications that our capacity for change and a certain kind of love was unique to our species is kind of bull.

Unless humanity is the only sentient life, which it isn't in SU meaning their isn't a Great Filter, then there's statisitcally atleast DOZENS of other carbon based lifeforms who probably evolved in a similar manner and have a similar capacity for evolution and growth.

Human aren't special unless we are literally alone, and that isn't the case in the SU world.

(Also, fun side note, the Diamonds are technically Carbon Based Life and thus technically Organic Life. Fun)

Fermi Paradox

Clearly doesn't exist in the SU World.

That was only created because statistically there should be at MINIMUM a few dozen galactic exploring species in our cluster and we should have seen something by now, which suggests life may have unforeseen problems getting to that point hat are either behind or ahead of us.

In Steven's Universe Earth was invaded by Type 1 Aliens before the Bronze Age had even fully taken off, and we've seen evidence of other planets with atleast dolphin level intelligence. There'd be no need to develop the Fermi-Paradox because the massive Gempire is RIGHT FUCKING THERE

Maybe I'll do the first on-topic post. I hate it when there's a competition and main character is praised for letting another one win because "it's all they have", "they care more" or any ther bullshit. You should never encourage it just like you should never encourage cheating.

>Dolphin level
I don’t know about that.

That's how you make super aids.

Honestly that's not the worst "morel" this show puts forward

He might be able to cure it

>The Gem Empire is a sad, lonely place.
So is Earth

>user projecting his massive faggotry and angst into literal children's cartoons
Yeah, I can see why you probably got bullied

It was confirmed in newer interviews that townie episodes were network mandated to keep SU more episodic

The amount of projection in astounding. I don't even watch this show.

Sauce or bullshit, also why couldnt they have just made episodic episodes starring the gems then?
