This. Remove the romance plots and give Korra more struggles the way the girls in Avatar the Last Airbender had.

Only thing I can think off the top of my head that I would change is Korra losing connection to the other Avatars.

>Tenzin is still her mentor but they have a deeper relationship because he has already trained her in airbending
>Tenizin takes her to Republic city to be trained by Zuko's son Iroh
>Iroh's militaristic nature clashes with Korra's headstrong nature but they eventually work it out and she begins to improve
>Amon is mostly the same however he's using Chi Blocking rather than bloodbending. The benders are killed before anyone figures it out. Amon is still a water bender and uses water bending inside of his costume to give him supernatural strength and durability in fights.
>Either entirely remove the brothers and Asami, replacing them with Tenzin's aged up Kids who Korra has known for her whole life and is good friends with, or remove the romance plots and keep pro-bending in the forefront with the former group
>Korra's team figures out Amon is a water bender and finally confronts him... during a full moon where he reveals his bloodbending abilities and fucks up Korra's squad.
>unsure how I'd resolve the Amon plot but his impact would effectively drive benders out of republic city forcing Korra abroad during the second season
>Second season is Korra getting in touch with the spiritual side of the Avatar travelling to great spiritual sites in avatar history and learning from old Avatars to unlock the avatar state. >S3 I'd make the black lotus or whatever gay name they had into bending supremacists rising up against the populist anti-bending movement
>Zaheer would be an airbender from birth, from a hidden tribe that fled. He'd feel that the anti bending movement could lead to another bender genocide

Actually sorry, the anti-bending terrorists from s2 would be led by an anti-bender spirit who believes control of the elements should be reserved for spirits not humans and that bending is an abomination.

>He'd seize power in republic city through force and make it an autonomous zone for all benders, with nonbenders maybe as slaves but that seems a bit much

I agree with the first two but I like Korrasami over Makorra. Mako's personality is that of a cardboard box. Though Korra x Bolin would be cute.

Seems good to me but actually try building up a Korra and Asami relationship, will make her more relevant and if they just do that rather than a dumb love triangle it might be somewhat decent.

I'm unsure if I'd keep Asami and the brothers or make Korra gay/include a love interest at all. However if Korra was gonna be gay for Asami, I'd make her closeted, but very clear she's lusting for Asami from the start. Asami would be an out and proud dyke, maybe even give her a shitty girlfriend that Korra and the audience hate that Korra uses as an excuse to stay closeted. Her closeted feelings would be something holding her back from achieving the avatar state in s2 if that was kept in. They'd get close in S3 as Asami helped lead the resistance with Korra and they'd start the romance there. But again I think Tenzin's kids aged up could be a good replacement to the mostly milquetoast Korra friends we got. Especially if one of his daughters was a waterbender instead of an airbender through grandma's lineage.

The lewds generally have Korra as a fairly oblivous and repressed sub who can only get into it after Asami doms her a bit. Asami is the horny rich playgirl who wants the brown ass. The former part is in character but the latter isn't since they made Asami such a bland piece of shit.

Why not both? Asami could easily be a nice addition and contrast to tenzins kids, and a side romance plot done well is a nice breather for a story

Keep Korra crippled and force her to have to fight Kuvira from a chair. Steel Ball Run is probably one of the best mangas I've ever read (I don't usually like JoJo SBR is just good on its own) so I think that shows a hero with physical limits is not only doable but a great creative challenge

I also really liked part 6, and a lot of its flaws were pacing so it's animation will also be nice.
That'd be a lot of fun to watch, she could easily attach a small gear train on it that she can metal bend, or use some small hydraulic engine she can water bend, and go 100+mph down the road in it.
I agree, but she could be a good character if they gave her one, and by nature of being rich has a bit more potential for connections to other characters than pro benders would in a modernized world like theirs.
