Ren & Stimpy. In season 6 Games probably would have made cartoons where Ren & Stimpy have eyes dangling out of their sockets if they had gotten to make it. Reruns of Games episodes made people think that Ren & Stimpy was "all about grossout stuff," while when it was running earlier Ren & Stimpy episodes were celebrated for their brilliance.

It has the stone cold classics Stimpy's Invention, Space Madness and to a lesser degree Fire Dogs.
Stimpy's Big Day & The Big Shot is affable.
Big House Blues is of course great but that's cheating because it wasn't produced for the show.
Everything else ranges from unremarkable bores to downright bad.

Most shows from the 90s that ran for 65 episodes and then came back due to popularity had that same huge decline (because the staff would be majorly different when it returned). Rugrats has maybe a worse drop off in quality than Spongebob does, but the first season after it returned wasn't that bad, but it was definitely a step down. And then everything after the movie and Dil's introduction is pure shit.
