So it's just like IRL.

I still can't fathom that they made a fucking college movie for children. Not like a clever parody of college movies, just a straight college movie.

University

Yeah. But then again, it's kind of funny they got thrown out at the end, no mercy. Not sure if it's to scare you into playing ball so you don't get thrown out, or that getting kicked is fine and you can get good jobs anyway.

Obviously it's the latter user; the message that there's different ways other than the conventional one to reach your goals and running into setbacks is not the end of the world is solid advice.

Honestly the movie is overall not exactly good but the extremely strong third act makes it somewhat worthwhile.

I watched this movie when I was a kid. I didn’t realized what the message was. By the time senior year, I want to go to college because I saw it was the only way to reach my career. But high tuitions and lower acceptance rate made me anxious. That were I decided to go to community college. It’s not bad but I got so bored with it. Hey it’s worth it.

she hot

You will never get a Monsters Inc sequel in which college age Boo wears a disguise to go to Monsters University and save it from obscurity.

I will never understand why they did a prequel and not a sequel.

A prequel is still a sequel. I was more baffled by how willing they were to change the characters and their relationships; it felt very cheap and unnecessary

Because the ending of the original movie didn't leave any hooks. But the odd-couple nature of the lead pair lends itself to answering "how did they become friends to begin with?"

>how did they become friends to begin with?

I never thought about that after watching Monster's Inc.

The first movie said they were friends since kindergarten or something.

No, but once the second movies makes a point of asking it I think an audience is willing to entertain it.

It was more like a decade later

I forget this movie what was the ending ?

It’s not that crazy when you consider the kids who grew up with Monsters Inc were aging into college/already in college around this time.

Monster's Inc came out 19 years ago. Good chance by the time MU came out, kids who watched it back then would be in or jsut of of college.
Similar to Toy Story 3. They knew what they were doing.

They’re kicked out of the college for putting the university at risk, but the Dean offers her respect for the guys. Mike is about to leave and kick it on his own but Sully stops him to point out that they work better as a team than on their own. They decide they’ll pursue the workforce instead of academia and go work for Monsters Inc where the credits scene shows that their hard work leads them to their career goals as scarers, where we know they’re going to be the top scarers in the game by Monsters Inc.

The only hook I see for a Monster's Inc sequel is breaking the masquerade. Now that monsters know that humans are not horrible contamination threats and they no longer need to terrify humans to survive, its only a matter of time before someone goes 'why don't we just talk to the humans?'

The monsters are no longer scared of humanity. Which is good. But they also largely only deal with children, who accept them and laugh at their antics. They won't be ready for the fact that adults will still be fucking TERRIFIED of them.

Just imagine finding out, tomorrow, that there was an entire dimension of freaky monster people, and they can invade you house without warning through ANY door in your home at any time. And, indeed, they have been doing this for decades without your knowledge, to approach your children when you think they are sleeping safe and sound. Thats fucking TERRIFYING.

Never treat dialog as if it were omniscient narration.

admit it

Yes I would.

fine.
my boss asked me if I could come into work early last Monday and I said no but I was lying because I wanted to sleep in.

Post the cute goth and her jock boyfriend

I don't believe they're dating. I'm not even convinced that he's straight. Either way, nobody can keep up with her school spirit.

based, i hope you slept well fren :3

I just realized that the monsters in the closet became imaginary friends. Until a 3 year old with a smart phone snaps a pic that disturbs their parents.

I don't think I'm ready to see Boo take the BMC

Why not tentacles? Why you gotta be racist against boneless monsters?

FUCK SQUIDDERS

You mean Claire?
