Infinity Train

Was it autism?

It was bad writing, that's for sure.

He was a sociopath at best.
>"bet I can take the null down by myself"
>"don't do that"
>"let's plan for it after the next car"
>(firmly) No.
>dumbass kills the null
>why are you mad at me for killing the null? i thought you'd be happy

what the fuck is this show about?

passengers get stuck on a train and have to go through multiple cars and get the glowing number on their hand to go down. if the number goes up, they did a stupid action and stay on the train longer. if the number goes down, they did a good action and they get to escape the train faster

She said don't do it because it's too risky. Not to not do it at all. He thought she was just worried about his safety and would be impressed that he managed it on his own. She's only ever been happy about him killing denizens before.

Simon's actions make sense, Grace is the one being inconsistent suddenly.

Torturing the traumatized/mentally ill.

To be fair, Grace did tell him to off the null later, and it was she who convinced him that all the nulls didn't count as people. So she has herself to blame for all that.

Intriguing start that leads to disappointment.

Imagine going to a therapist and when you sit down to begin your session they lock you in the room and you have to do one of those escape room things to get out, and when you got out you just ended up in another escape room, and that went on indefinitely until your problems get solved.

But each escape room contains elements of your unaddressed character flaws. This show as a concept is hilariously fucked up.

Another sketch for the ghom Simon AU for user. Consider the very first sketch to be a part one, well here is part two. Would've posted it days earlier, but the earlier thread 404'ed?

And full? version.

Precious boy

Basically I lock you in a room and you must fix yourself with these inadequate tools or die. The poor boy in the OP was thrown in at 10 years old and wasn't even given a set of instructions.

Thanks man. He ended up much more adorable than intended.

no he was brainwashed and manipulated by Grace and Grace was then shocked that he wouldn't instantly change when she started telling him to do the opposite of what she told him to do for 10 years

More likely a sense of entitlement combined with a narcissistic personality disorder.

You are golden user golden

Go away pysh student

If you look up NPD it's blaring obvious it fits Grace more than it does Simon, while Simon fits more in with BPD and autism. Anyone who thinks Simon is a narcissist has never been around one.

Autism concurrent with second disorder.

Yes.

These are lovely and pixie Simon is adorable. I know he is the mouthpiece of an eldritch abomination but I can't deny I would fall for his tricks in this AU. Is he crowning her for his charade?

These. Probably autism at the same time as something else like borderlin disorder or complex PTSD to make his mix explode

Narcissism and a god complex rolled into one, in an environment that fed into his delusions.

Yeah. He definetly seems more like some of the assbergers people I met. Low empathy for anyone they don't know very well is also sometimes a symptom

This?

>I can't deny I would fall for his tricks in this AU.
Me too, user.
>Is he crowning her for his charade?
That's Simon's crown and he's crowning himself. The inspiration is from Napoleon's coronation, and Grace's crown as currently depicted is typically a queen's crown.

Yep. Consider above part two.

>That's Simon's crown and he's crowning himself. The inspiration is from Napoleon's coronation
Nice detail. I can see that from a French kid interested in the military. Not to insult him, but he might need to work on finding one that's in the right size for him :)

Bump?

So... any ideas to animate the thread?

Idk. Maybe talk about the ghom AU again? That attracts at least two anons.

I mean, the question the thread posed was already answered so what else is there to discuss? It was absolutely the tisms that made Simon do it.

>tfw autism is the illness nothing can cure

some of his downward spiral was understandable based on the circumstances, but there were definitely a few major jumps (bragging about killing tuba, kicking grace after she saved him) that stretched disbelief and seemed like they were just thrown in there to move the plot along and push him to "irredeemable villain" status

can autism as an explanation bridge those gaps in the writing? arguable

it's a better explanation than the writer's "hurr he was a narcissist" though, that's for sure

>Ghom AU
Last time we talked about how Samantha would save him, but that she lured him into the trap as well. Does he forgive her or is he angry? Would he even be sane anymore? It's honestly like trying to predict the aftermath of the Grace fight if he had not been eaten deus ex ghom
