What happens?
Oh shit there's a necromorph outbreak in the last cartoon you watched
Honestly, nothing short of reality warpers can stop necromorphs
I mean, spear is a tough guy
why?
necromorphs are a cosmic threat.
>Markers drive people crazy and make them want to commit suicide
>necromorphs are made out of dead bodies and are designed to kill more people
>Once there's enough necromorphs they create a Brethren moon a giant moon necromorph
>Brethren moons are all eldritch horrors and can consume planets whole
Does the Army of Darkness comic I read count? If so, I imagine that Ash has a few things to teach Isaac about undead outbreaks.
It's almost certain they'll die. I could kinda see BIT taking the spotlight and stopping the outbreak very early on. We don't know about the Marker's influence on AI so perhaps he would be immune.
Well, I wouldn't say it would require literal reality bending to stop an AI, but it would be fairly hard to stop an Outbreak, especially at its later stages. The best chance is to destroy the marker very early on but that's unlikely to happen. Markers, which are these huge rocks shaped vaguely like a DNA helix, are placed all around space, waiting for a sufficiently advanced species to awaken, which is likely probable since it is implied they actively play a role in creating sapient species. Then, they'll emit signals that'll make most of the populace surrounding it have dementia and develop suicidal and homicidal behavior. As the dead pile on, the Marker somehow gives out a bacteria that transforms some of the bodies into Necromorphs, which are dead bodies transformed into horrible monsters powered by the marker's energy field. The first necros would be Infectors, which are flying swaths of skin who's job is to accelerate in creating more numerous and specialized necromorphs. The necromorphs will gather all the flesh and use it yo transform it into a kind of larger pseudo organism, called a corruption, which slowly yerraforms the environment to be more necro friendly. Eventually, there wlr be enough necromorphs to create a "Convergence event", a process which gathers all the necro-flesh to the Marker to create a Breathern Moon, which would create more markers and restart the process all over again.
Because Isaac Clark(the protagonist) only survived the games due to the Marker(the supercomputer that controls the Necromorphs) protecting him since they wanted to absorb their mind for some unknown reason.
It goes beyond just fighting monsters. Anyone within a marker's range (without some serious mental hax) is susceptible to it's influence, and they'll eventually go insane and transform themselves.
It is revealed in Dead Space two that the Markers signal affected smart enough people differently, in that they don't try die or/and kill others, but are tasked with creating more Markers. This is why Issac is always seeing marker code, because it's giving him the instructions to create more
*to stop an outbreak*
I miss this series. I hope the spiritual successor revealed the other day is good.
The last comic I read was Deff Skwadron. I know fuck all about Dead Space but I do know a fully mobilised WAAAGH! is a powerful thing.
So, could da boyz stomp dem funny look in’ humiez?
Huh, could be interesting to see how the markers interact with kaiju. I'm not even sure how they react with normal animals, let alone mutations that have weird supernatural powers.
Godzilla himself would likely be fine, at least from any direct mental tampering. He's shown resistance to mind control, but he'd possibly still suffer some illusions. Nick is also referenced as having a strong will, so he'd probably be like Isaac and be slowly mentally fucked and have some small chance. Maybe Craven and Monique as well, but Randy and Elsie are fucked.
The rest of the kaiju and much of humanity would also be fucked. But I can see some science plot armor and Godzilla just barely saving the day somehow. I know how overpowered the markers are potentially, but so are some of the asspulls the characters have in the show.
Godzilla vs a Kaiju Morph sounds cool though.
Like most things, it wouldn't be so much of a big threat in ghe 40k universe. From my scant understanding of franchise, orks are stupid and are utterly devoted to fighting. They're also made to pretty much infest places, so killing them may actually aid them more in the long run. A large enough and "relatively" organized ork army could probably stop even a breathern moon by themselves.
>Kaiju necromorphs
The Bydo Empire could do it.
Have hope senpai....we are going home....
Aren't Orks a fungus in 40k? If so, the Markers are fucked because they can only use flesh to make necromorphs.
Holy shit the cgi is so good I thought it was an actor at first.
2030 games will be 100% realistic guys, we are reaching perfect photorealism
How fucking weird is that I honestly think gems would be very affective against necromorphs
They aren't beings made of flesh so even if you do shatter one you can't make them into a necromorph
They have tons of weaponry that is ideal for taken on necromorphns
And they even have weapons strong enough to destroy planets meaning they could even kill Brethren moons
Only real problem is I have no idea if the marker singles would affect them in anyway.

I sure hope not. The gem race are mostly made up of emotional womenchildren.
At what cost though? I've never seen the show but I'm pretty sure humanity is still only on earth in SU, right? So the gem things would I've but earth would be irreparably fucked unless the gems managed to destroy every brethren moon before it got near Earth.
Also, are the gems just robots or are they genuinely "alive"? If the latter, the moons may be able to affect their minds and make them slaughter each other.
I know it isn't really a gem but I kinda wanna see a "Marker" gem. I mean, Pearl is a thing.
So the flood?
They are sapient, but we don't know if the Marker signals can really affect non-organic beings.
Isn't that basically just a necromancer with some extra steps and more visceral?
They are similar to them. Not exactly, but yeah, much like them. Now I'm curious how those two would duke it out....
No, I mean a Marker as a gem. Like, design wise and stuff.
They reproduce like fungi and make heavy use of fungal life wherever they go, but they also have meaty bits typical of animals. It’s complicated. The wiki states that they’re best described as a form of really complicated lichen.
So you want to see a Marker girl? sadly don't think that's a thing.
I'd assume that so long as you genuinely have a "mind" it'd be able to affect you.
