I strongly believe that Animation works best as a film rather than a tv programme. tv shows always constantly go to shit after one season while a good movie will always be a good film and you can always ignore sequels. This is has been my philosophy since 2005, i quickly realize how much of time was being wasted on shitty tv shows. I strictly stick to Animated movies
I strongly believe that Animation works best as a film rather than a tv programme...
Humm yeah make sense, Or very old series that already ended so you know they are good beggining to end.
Appy that logic to most media and you will be right, besides some little exceptions every cultural product that is milked is shit.
>Or very old series that already ended so you know they are good beggining to end.
tv shows can get resurrected like 12.oz mouse and the overall story can go to shit. you can't do this to films and you can always skip the shitty reboots
So you just gonna stop watching anything that is not a feature lenght film because of that?
not to mention that Movies have better production value. imagine Rango being a tv series.
>So you just gonna stop watching anything that is not a feature lenght film because of that?
yes and tarzan and jane was fucking shit and proves my point. i fucking despise television with a passion
How is it shit if it produced the best and only waifu in the franchise?
i've never seen and never will watch another tv show again. also that whore looks fucking disgusting buy i prefer Jane being alone instead with that ape man
Well, i guess i'm done here.......
i didn't know there were black people in Tarzan
I can't remember the last time a Disney film has made me feel anything beyond disappointment over pointless sequels. But I get a kick out of Amphibia.
> also that whore looks fucking disgusting buy i prefer Jane being alone instead with that ape man
>I can't remember the last time a Disney film has made me feel anything beyond disappointment over pointless sequels.
then just ignore the sequels you retard.
>tv shows always constantly go to shit after one season while a good movie will always be a good film and you can always ignore sequels
Just like a show that had a really good season and a really shit can will always be a show with a good season and another you can ignore.
i've never meet anyone who only watches the first season of any show. the Simpsons didn't get good until season 3
>tv shows always constantly go to shit after one season
A lot of shows hit their high mark in season 2, actually.
It's an example of a show that only had two seasons you fucking retard.
The same logic that you're applying to movies can also be applied to tv shows
>The same logic that you're applying to movies can also be applied to tv shows
you will never get to see the story finish if you only ever watch the first season.
Same shit with movies if they have more than one entry
>you can ignore sequels!
You can ignore seasons too.
>Same shit with movies if they have more than one entry
i always ignore the sequels. i've never seen Tarzan 2 and never will
>You can ignore seasons too.
you will miss the story
Are you actually fucking retarded?
I’d have to call bullshit here buddy
Wether be it BM:TAS, over the garden wall, the last air bender, hey Arnold, samurai jack (the list goes on forever)
There’s a strong case to be made of the validity animation has in the form of a tv show
I have. Nice to meet you.
Let me rephrase then. Nearly everything in the last decade has either been forgettable, a soulless sequel, or a godawful remake.
the just ignore them.
>There’s a strong case to be made of the validity animation has in the form of a tv show
lol no.
Infinity train can be used as a great example of a show that takes advantage of the serialized format
>>each season tells its own story
>>they all serve to strengthen/explore the overall thematic backbone of the series as a whole
and yet you mentioned no less than three shows that aren't particularly good, like I can straight up age you by the fact that you unironically think Hey Arnold is good enough to be on a list of "best animated series"
The longer the show goes on, the more chances it has to lose its footing, that's true for any medium. But that doesn't mean it's inevitable. I've enjoyed more animated series in the past few years than films which by design aren't allowed to take as many risks for fear of not making their money back.
All depends on your priorities. I love what other people call “filler”, so I like the episodic format because it has room for characters to breathe. Movies are too chaotic and we never get to know the cast in a “resting” state, just how they react to extreme stress.
