Why do you hate him?
Why do you hate him?
Literally who?
Because he doesn't use his billions to get repeated jailbreaking mass murderers extradited to states with both the death penalty, and a proper understanding of what "legal insanity" actually means (hint: dressing like a clown isn't legal insanity)
Both those scenarios would require Bruce Wayne acting king, lording over his city. Wayne's a tycoon, not Luthor.
And Luthor's city is a place worth living in
Because there's someone making sure it doesn't get to be "Luthor's city."
Batman's fighting a 20 year war in a city that's been fucked for 200. The very idea that there are people who go Christmas shopping in Gotham is testament to the good Batman, Gordon and Bruce Wayne have done for the city.
Nice cope
Metropolis was worth living in before that illegal immigrant showed up, and will be after he's deported to hell
You're drunk Luthor
Fuck off simp
he's a fascist fuck
Fascism is objectively good
As much as I like the coolest aesthetics and the badass martial arts, Bruce is a complete and utter dumbass despite being one of the most smartest people in the DC universe. Rather than spending his resources and money on actually fixing the city through political and legal means he decides to waste hundreds of millions of dollars on fancy gadgets, cars and bat armor to larp as crime fighting superhero that beats up low-level thugs and the occasional supervillain with their henchmen. He isn't fixing the city by taking out the criminal one by one, He's just enabling it by trying to become a symbol of hope within the city but it doesn't deter criminals from actually committing crime.
Hell even his arch nemesis the joker was the result of him fucking up. He created the joker by making him accidentally trip into a vat of chemicals that alter his brain chemistry into becoming an insane murderous criminal and trick Harley while he was sent to Arkham into joining him and repeating the exact same bullshit to become his sidekick in crime. And rather than allowing the legal system to give the death penalty to him, keep in mind if he doesn't want to do the killing himself why doesn't he allow the system to do its place and end the poor fucker's misery instead of endlessly giving him the insanity plea.
>instead of endlessly giving him the insanity plea.
Joker doesn't even fit the legal definition of criminal insanity. He clearly understands the legality of his actions, and is fully conscious when he commits them.
Gary stu, knows all languages, all martial arts, has millions, all chicks love him, super IQ.
I dont hate him. As an icon, as a character, I love him
I just don't give a flying shit about any new stories about him...
Gaytake, only applies to current Batman, like every other superhero, but all other Batmen prior 2012, are kino
I love him as nostalgia and an icon. The aesthetic is great and he's generally something I hold dear to me. However, he's a literal retard, too much of a gary stu and is never reall utilized properly. I love the idea of Batman, but the actual character... Eh. Honestly, same goes with most other comic characters I like. The idea, the concept, the potential is what interests me and draws me to them. The actual execution is mostly subpar.
I don't hate him, I hate the fans he has that insist that he's the best and strongest, end all be all of superheroes.
He's a shit father and honestly a bad person, but DC keeps bending backwards so they can pretend he isn't.
Because he can take it.
I love him beyond belief. I hate what they've done to him.
Because he's a dick. Bruce bullied the hell out of the "lesser" leaguers, placing them in danger or handicapping them in combat. The only reason this shit isn't well known is that they dialed it far back in 52 and Rebirth Bruce may as well be a new character.
mary sue
And while I haven't seen many unironic batfags the past couple years, batfamilyfags are insufferable.
Bruce?
He's been built up as this legendary walking myth with God-like intellect, plans a billion things in advance etc. and it's just made him boring. Post-Morrison Batman has been obsessed with this idea of Batman as this immutable superhuman legend and it's not fun at all
I don't hate him, but I do feel he's been misused a lot. Martial arts and gadgets aside, he's still just a human, so him charging headfirst into battle alongside the JLA, or trying to one-man SWAT team in Gotham doesn't make much sense. He should be smart about things. Be a detective again. A properly trained police force can take the physical aspects of apprehending criminals. But actually figuring out where and when to apply that physical force? This could be what the Bat is about. Unraveling the schemes of Riddler, or finding enough evidence that would stick in court to finally lock up the Penguin. Finding the patterns between seemingly unrelated cases that lead to a Kobra cell. Stuff like that. There's a reason many people complain about "billionaire beating up mentally ill" when it comes to Batman's methods. Let's put the Detective back into Detective Comics.
I love Batman, he's just been slowly ruined by wank to the point none of what I loved exists anymore.
Also comic fanboy freaks are obsessed with him to the point it's been killing the industry, if DC didn't have endless Batman books and variants to prop up their sales, they would be forced to focus on the quality of their books and better business practices.
Overrated
Because he is a Mary Sue
I like Batman but can't stand his average fans. They say they love him because he's weak and underpowered and a normal guy compared to everyone else and yet wank all over him because he can beat everyone else up with his 500 different martial arts and 10000 IQ and trillions of dollars and prep time/contingency plans within plans within plans.
> Rather than spending his resources and money on actually fixing the city through political and legal means
He does do this though, he just knows Gotham is so corrupt that it isn’t enough. This was what his parents tried and they ended up dying in a gutter
Batman is a normal human in only in theory, in practice he's just as super powered as the rest of the league.
How many times has the guy been shot, stabbed and thrown off buildings and shrugged it off.
How many times has he one-punched foes that should be physically stronger than him to make him look cool?
He's overpowered and it's annoying.
If he's supposed to win against someone who is clearly stronger or more powerful than him then he should be shown to have a very clever, well thought out plan, not some batwank garbage.
Still love him a character, but he has been overused at this point. He's basically carrying DC comics on his back.
>Rather than spending his resources and money on actually fixing the city through political and legal means
He does do this.
Batfamfags are as bad as xmen fans who hate wolverine. Literal queers and men in dresses who want Steph or Tim to take the reigns of the Detective title.
>if DC didn't have endless Batman books and variants to prop up their sales, they would be forced to focus on the quality of their books
No they wouldn't and you're a child for thinking this. They'd just cancel them.
