All of those netflix marvel shows would've been vastly improved with their episode count cut in half. Except Iron Fist. There's no polishing that turd.

The model of release all of the episodes simultaneously has really been proven to suck. Gives the writers the feeling that it's a super long movie and thus the pacing gets unbearably bad. Not to mention that spoilers become an issue, which force more people to consume it sooner and thus forget about it sooner.

Can't wait for DD's quips is Spider-Man Homecoming 3

It does bring up a question if an Iron Fist TV show could have been done well at all

Kingpin has literally never been badly portraid in all his adaptations

Ever watched Into the Badlands?

The character only really has one good solo run I can think of which is the brubaker run

Iron Fist was better than Inhumans

>Let's take a shitty Bendis story about a shitty OC, have one of the most overrated currently living actors play the villain who's who's already a joke in the comics and make him even more of a pathetic, dumb and whiny fuck, stretch the story of what could have fit in a movie into a dozen episodes. And people will eat up the dark tone, mistaking it for depth, because the MCU has gone so overboard with the meta humor.

alias is so bad but it the go to example for bendis apologist

>nerf him significantly
how so, he always gets the piss knocked out of him in the comics.

That's really not saying much, inhumans was hot garbage. And I said Netflix shows.

Maybe if they went a different direction and dropped the crappy family melodrama and Defenders tie-in shit then just made it a Wuxia series with a tournament arc or something.

this is true
>guys we got killgrave
>oops nvm hes gone
reee horrible storytelling

Only interesting character in the show was Ward. Still can't believe that they metaphorically castrated Danny and handed his balls to Colleen in the finale. Also, Davos was not a menacing villain. Why did they make him Indian and inject the Hand into every damn series?

Fuck Bendis.
Fuck Alias.
Fuck all of his OCs and most importantly fuck Purple Man in all his incarnations.
I hate all of those things.

thats the ironfist we deserve

>was not a menacing villain
That's literally all of Netflix villains.

Vincent D'Onofrio looked the part but I hated that his Kingpin seemed so developmentally delayed. Roscoe Lee Browne is the gold standard for me with regard to the character's portrayal.

Bullseye also had that problem in the Daredevil series. Making him severely mentally ill was not just a crazy asshole like he is in the comics was a mistake.

anyone got the kingpin pastas?

Anyone else feel like they went out of their way to keep Matt out of his costume? They had such a hard on for his Miller ninja outfit

same, the miller outfit is good but he kept it for too long

So many fucking people complained about him getting the real suit and how he should keep the Man Without Fear look back when season one first released. It feels like they were trying to pander to that base and it bugged the shit out of me, because honestly I've never understood the hard on for that look.

It's a fine look, but for fuck sake that's like me asking for a Flash show where Barry never gets his actual costume and instead keeps wearing kneepads. I want to actually see Daredevil in his fucking costume

Costume he had in the series wasn't great. The kevlar patterns, the black, and the nose covering were all wrong. I get that they were trying to distance from Affleck's suit, but you don't always have to go that far. Problem with Affleck's suit was that it was shiny leather and that was kind of weird. Then this goes too far in the other way when they should have kept the good parts. But that also kind of goes to the problem of forcing it to be realistic and grounded in certain places and the craze of practicality in the suits.

FUCK YOU WESLEY

I thought it looked fine. Though I kind of wish briefly he wore the yellow suit

I think they did a somewhat good job with Kilgrave, and Cottonmouth.
Too bad both were offed, especially Cottonmouth being removed so early.

At least with Bullseye he was getting there, that last episode of S3 where he showed up at the wedding in the costume and took the mic was hilarious

I just want a Flash adaption where Barry isn't turned into DC's Peter Parker and they harp on the retcon of his mother's death. Not every character, certainly not Flash, has to be Spider-Man or Batman in personality and origin.

I disagree. Kilgrave was pure definition of pathetic. He wasn't even a little bit menacing or scary.

I think he was working pretty well when they didn't fully show him, like that scene where he breaks into that family's house and tells the kids to piss in the closet or whatever
After he properly showed up though, the show just had no idea what to do. Maybe if they'd kept him in the shadows until the last episode (and shortened the ep count) it would have worked better

>breaks into that family's house and tells the kids to piss in the closet
That was pretty much Martha-tier. I'm surprised this doesn't get mocked more often.

The first season of DD worked because DD was working is way through a council of villains. There was a sense of progress as he takes down the Russians, Nobu, and so on.
But every season/show after that fucked up. Jessica Jones took a thin plot and stretched it too long to the point they capture and lose the villain three times over the course of the show, and then have the most anticlimatic finale. DD Season 2 had 4 god tier episodes, but then was half Hand plot, half Punisher plot, and they didn't feel connected. Hell, half the show was a promo for the Punisher. Luke Cage should have kept Cottonmouth as the villain because he was intriguing. God lord, Diamondback breaks the tone of the show. Iron Fist was the shows running out of money, and Defenders was just the biggest letdown.
How the fuck did the Hand go from this mysterious band of ninjas to dudes with guns? Why was Madame Gao set up as a bigger threat than the Hand, but then she was just rolled into the Hand? Fuck Jeph Loeb and his ability to crash franchises.
