I would suggest looking at youtube tutorials by people like ModernDayJames, Sycra, or Proko for sketching tips. As for exercises, I find that gestural drawing helps me figure out poses quickly and efficiently when studying from photos. In the end, though, it all comes down to repetition and practice.

I just do what I feel like doing every day. If I struggle with something, I take note of it and try to do it again in the next drawing. I try to use simple media like printer paper and no.2 pencils so I can practice anywhere.

I'm flattered!! I'm embarrassed to say i'm head over heels for Crane at the moment but he's given me a lot of ideas to work with, so I'm justt gonna run with it.
A lot of my fascination with him comes from my lifelong love of evil mad scientists, so I'm pleased some of that influence leaked through in my fan-interpretations :D

I just follow my will, sometimes when i want to draw something i never did I search for tutorials, then for some days i do exercises, and yep, i'm not consistent at all, i try to combine my joy for drawing with necessity to improve.
