>>Secret Invasion - SHOOT SKRULLS ON SIGHT! KILL ALL THE SKULLS! THE ONLY GOOD SKRULL IS A DEAD SKRULL!

What were they thinking?!

>The government finds out about the skrulls living among the population which prompts Ross or Norman Osborn to start a persecution campaign against them, which Veranke uses to rally the skrulls against Earth, forcing Carol to betray the race she swore to protect.
Here is your Secret Invasion bro.

>all species are either good or evil and there is absolutely no differences within them

What I kind of hated about Captain Marvel was how apologetic they were towards The Skrulls. This might actually salvage that plot point a bit, Carol discovering that the very Skrulls she saved later came back to take over Earth DEMANDING a new homeworld. A way for her to reap what she sewed

>NOOOOOOO I CAN'T HANDLE NUANCE IN MY FICTION, EVERY RACE HAS TO BE EITHER 100% GOOD OR 100% BAD

I mean, they treat all of the Kree like bad guys.

user that's not what I said at all. The movie goes out of its fucking way to paint the Skrulls as misunderstood good guys which is fucking horseshit. They sacrificed a complicated blood feud in favor of a "muh refugees" political message.

But that's wrong.

He has a point though. The film hammers home the idea of "Kree bad, Skrulls good" to a retarded degree. They oversimplified the conflict to the point where Carol is basically team Skrull when instead the script should have had her telling both sides to get the fuck off Earth to fight their war elsewhere

The gang of Skrulls we saw in the movie WERE refugees. The series has the leader of those skrulls teaming up with Nick Fury to stop the other Skrulls.

It'd be neat if this introduced the Fantastic Four with Reed accidentally turning off Skrulls' innate shapeshifting to give a They Live moment, but just for a few seconds, making everyone around the world freak out and Nick Fury having to clean it up.

Or else it'll be a buddy cop drama since the tagline mentioned Fury and Talos working together. Maybe more Kree were hiding on Earth then they thought and this brings the Inhumans back.

All Skrulls by definition are refugees. Furthermore, when the film does nothing but show good Skrulls, it fucks up the entire dynamic of the war.

Hell, all the deleted scenes of the Kree being sympathetic were likely removed so that when Carol goes on her murder spree, there are no conflicting feelings.

Did you miss the part where the skrulls abducted and tortured her user?

>deleted scenes have kree literally afraid of failing
>haha girl power you beat those powerless soldiers carol!

Oh you mean Talos's team that they later backpedaled and said it was a misunderstanding based on desperation?
>Torture
That wasn't torture, they were probing her mind and had her sleep.

Why are you defending shitty MCU creative decisions?

They were revealed as good guys afterwards cause they decided they were.

Because they aren't shitty, you're just autistic.

That's not an argument, sir.

They're not going to go back on their 'Skrulls = refugees' narrative they pushed so hard in the first movie. It would be terrible RP for Disney. It'll most likely play out as says.

Norman Osborn stirred up anti-Skrull sentiment and his Green Goblin costume is actually a "Skrull" costume he uses to frame the Skrulls

Talos is offended and explains to Fury that Osborn turning the people against Skrulls and going out as the Green Goblin would be like if Osborn stirred up anti-Black sentiment by dressing up in Blackface and committing crimes.

...Wasn't that pretty much how Luke Cage season one panned out? I mean it wasn't blackface, but Diamondback was literally able to frame him by just going around punching people and shouting "I'M LUKE CAGE!"

Maybe they'll use ADR this time so the Skrulls don't all sound like they have dicks in their mouths speaking through the prosphetic teeth.

That particular group of skrulls can just want to get away from the fighting and other skrulls really are the evil boogeyman the Kree claim they are. Just because they are both Skrulls doesn't mean they have the same goals, beliefs, or even like each other.

The only questions is whether you paint the bad skrulls as the norm, and the refugees are the exception. Or if the 'good' skrulls are painted as the norm and the extremist invasion skrulls are portrayed as zealots.

Twist: its not a costume. Normon Osborn is literally a skrull infiltrator. Always has been, his company is even built on small amounts of skrull tech adapted for human production.

The 'Green Goblin' isn't some freaky mask or formula gone bad, its just Osborn reverting to his natural skrull form, plus some skrull battle armor.

Now if only they would recast Carol with a golden war goddess that would wear the black latex bodysuit and domino mask.

Gay

Nice save Hiddleston, lol.

>“If you look at the comics, the further you go back, the less clothes Carol Danvers seems to be wearing,” Feige said. “Oftentimes it’s a one-piece bathing suit, basically, with outrageous comic proportions...Brie pointed it out on the wall, and we went, ‘Yeah, just so you know, that’s not what we’re doing.’ She goes, ‘Okay. I didn’t think so, but I’m glad you said that.’”
