And so, the gang's has a common goal.
Unsounded
>Step aside, bitches, and let daddy Duane show you how a man of God gets things done
>I struggle to pair a wine.
>not reacting with indignity at the serious suggestion of eating someone in general
>Sette in particular
Nice
He's a little miffed with her at this point in time. Rage is dribbling into just a simmering bad mood.
Oh I'm not saying it isn't appropriate or deserved, it's just cool to see him really leaning into it this time. Hes always let her off too easily before, sometimes for equally heinous things. Now he's seriously done with her shit, which is really the only way they can eventually reconcile
>I struggle to pair a wine.
At least until Duane does the stupid thing.
You've got to hand it to Duane. When he has even a little bit of time to find his footing in a conversation, he ALWAYS knows exactly what to say. It's a gift.
with all of them together they'll just steamroll whatever's coming at them, right
It feels that way, if it's just them vs. Keon, Hetr and a few regular army mooks. There has to be something unaccounted for, like one of the pseudo-Uaids.
What's with all the niggers?
Idk man they are kinda walking into Crescian area 51 who knows whats down there
There's perfect racial harmony on this page
>2 whites
>2 blacks
>2 senet beasts
Duane isn't white, he's grey-green.
I wonder how long they'll keep together though? I can't really imagine everybody sailing out on Uaid by the end of this, as entertaining as it would be to see Elka and Sette forced into constant proximity.
Toma is so cute and sleepy. Elka, protect him.
Love Duane's silver tongue (whatever's left of it)
>Pl*ts
>white
Shit man, I'm digging mask!duane.
>dessicate and ankle-biters
These crazy assholes need Geneva or something, sounds like some mustard-gas tier atrocities.
I recommend a Rosé Port
>party of three accomplished battlewrights, a waterwoman, and her two summons
Toma must feel extra useless right now wit that broken arm, he can't even be a swords-guy.
I wish I could write dialog this well. Her characters have such clear voices instead of being endless quip machines
Inhumans wading forward through situations that would kill a person is always badass.
He's probably the most level-headed of the group though and he knows the most about Cresce's inner workings. The role of speaker/diplomat is pretty crucial if they want ot get anywhere
I'm sorry but I can't not see Duane's pupil in panel 3 as a scratchy little heart symbol
Tell me about it. Every time I try to write characters, it feels like they all come off as either paper-thin stereotypes or just slightly different versions of me.
Try "Dwayne! DWAAAYNE!" for Sette's paired whine.
What I like most about her writing is that it's realistic, but not naturalistic. The characters feel like characters, but they're larger-than-life enough to not be uhm-ehr-ah'ing, stuttering messes like most real people.
