So why do you people like this character again? Because of the Tim Drake hate?
Rape baby
Tim is the perfect sidekick everyone wants but doesn't appreciate, and as for damian everyone loves spoiled brats for some reason.
Eh I don’t really care for ether I guess I like Damien more because I enjoyed the chemistry he had with Dick when he was his robin.
Be careful, you're gonna attract some Damian fanboy telling you that you never read the comics.
Dick should've been kept as Batman
Because they’re pedos.
I really don't get it either. He's a rotten little piece of shit.
Tomasi wrote an infinitely better Damian than Morrison.
this, desu. he was a good robin to dickbats. his relationship with alfred and stephanie brown was also rather nice.
i haven't read anything with damian post-inc, though. as far as i'm concerned, the fatherless killed him and he stayed dead
The rape thing is retconned you know
Except on Supersons
Was it retconned after Morrison's run because he put it back in.
>original story had talia and bruce consensually get it on, she gets pregnant but lies to bruce telling her she miscarried, then gives the baby away
morrison could've just retconned that last part but nooooo
Actually, Tim's perfectness is the huge turn off for me, especially besides that I don't find him interesting. Damian is funny, arrogant, and settle dynamic mood imo
he's interesting unlike Tim, He also has great interactions with the rest of the Bat clan
I don't hate Tim. But I love Damian. I like all Robins actually. Damian is interesting to read, his little shit attitude is hilarious, and his character journey are actually meaningful
Would've been less awkward than this.
Wasn't Bruce and Talia intercourse on Batman Inc is consensual? I remember they sleep together quite content but then Bruce left her after Talia told Bruce that their kid will be the strongest or something like that
The rape thing was retconnen on Tomasi's run, and it happened after Morrison's run. And DC now listed Son of Demon as canon book first Damian appearance
No because she drugged him to have sex with him. He's not shown to be completely out of it but his judgment was impaired which made it easy for Talia to get him to knock her up.
>dude moore is like obsessed, while i've NEVER EVER written rape in my entire career lmao
I don’t think it was a better damian so much as Tomasi was writing him further into the development that Morrison had for him. I feel like most people hate Damian from those horrible movies where he’s only written as the arrogant asshole he was pre-Batman & Robin
Character development is the key thing.
He's an arrogant little shit, and he can usually back up his ego, but occasionally he's just completely outclassed and humbled. That's when he's revealed to just be a kid that wants his mom and dad to be proud of him and maybe get back together. It's endearing.
And with the addition of Jon as a foil and someone who's good natured enough to weather his bullshit and treat him as a friend and equal.
A lot like his dynamic with Dick, but not the brother-cum-surrogate father aspect.
They also hate Bruce if they like this minion of Ra, this Demon Spawn.
Really, DC needs more else worlds where he goes bad, it's all there. It's bullshit that he's not going to go against Bruce's wishes or want to please 'daddy' that he won't go back to his nurtured nature.
Morrison didn't intend for the tiny demon spawn to live. He was going to die which was going to FURTHER BRUCE'S DEVELOPMENT, and that was that.
But #didiot is an asshat who made many stupid choices
That was one issue and no has touched it since, it'll most likely get retcon back into consensual sex
Some Damian fans like him because Tomasi's Batman and Robin, so it's stupid to say that all Damian fans hate Bruce. But I think most Damian fans hate Bruce on Rebirth. I think all Robin fans hate Bruce on Rebirth, which is justified. Rebirth Bruce is a coward who chase after Catwoman's pussy, and Synder tried really hard to make Duke and Jarro relevant
It was WB who brought him back. Didio hates all Robins.
He hates all Batfamily, except his wife Babs maybe. What he did to Cass was nasty.
Yeah, not even Tim was safe. He was died (fake but still no one know it) but Bruce didn't lashed out like when Jason, Damian, or even Dick's death. He was still focused to marry Catwoman. And of course the 'secret code' puch.
I liked him staring from Robin Son of Batman, showing his soft side with Goliath worked wonders
Jarro was neat, but Duke was completely unnecessary.
